  • The Dirty Australian Sorta Widebody Lowlux Build.

    Gday guys, so this is my 1995 Toyota Hilux Workmate. My mother picked it up for $3300 and passed it on to me.

    The plans;

    QA1 front coilovers
    Performance leafs in the back or 1 leaf and coil combo
    15x10 rears, 15x8 fronts unsure of off set for now.
    2jzge engine swap (with w58 box)
    Locked diff (haven't figured out what ratio)

    Hopefully I am able to bring something new to the stancetruck scene soon. Keep an eye out.

          I am quite keen to see how this progresses.

          Where in Australia are you?

            I'm up in Cairns, FNQ. So its BLOODY hot, humid and has salty sea air. Rust paradise.

            Shes just out of the exhaust shop this arvo, so ill go snag up some pictures on Monday when I take it in to the mechanics.

            MOTIVATION Pictures! love this style but ill probably end up wider.

              I want to mod the exhaust so it sits above of all the axils etc... for legal ride height and no scraping.

                always cool to see a tradies special become something cool. I really like that black lux in the above pics, looks tough! In a ute mag i was reading there was a lux in there that somebody had built as if lexus had built it which i thought would be a cool idea for a project. I can't wait to see what you do with this one, i'll be subbing

                    Hilux and Stance = two of my most favourite things ever. so naturally the two would be combined once the lux was road worthy. Hmmm, Id love it if you could find that article but all good if you cant. and thanks for subbing, it will be completely finished by the 29th of Janurary and ready for Brisbane car shows in Feb/March. Itd be sweet if some StanceWorks fellas or sheilas who live FNQ side to have a meet up.

                    Your XF is fucking perfect. im flying VIC ways early next year. so ill shoot you a message then cause id love to go for a spin in it or even witness it in the flesh. I had a VT Commodore Stance Start Build, wish that was finished.

                      So ive found the most perfect set of wheels I could ever want for this build, BUT! sadly i cannot afford them. which saddens me greatly.

                      And if I dont end up getting those ill probably get some nice Diamond Racing PRO Series Wheels which are equally as nice in my opinion.

                        Anther cairns dude, epic. I'm from up that way, know the feel with the weather and climate as well as rust everywhere.

                        Anyway, dont go steelies. get something cool like those hundred spokes or something for it rather than just boring old steelies otherwise it becomes the same as every other lowlux build to date.

                        I have never seen a 'cool' hilux until you posted those photos from the jap one, almost makes me want to go buy one ha. This could turn out epic, please make it do so!

                          Well, I was planning on some SSR's or Rotiforms after the steelies I was just going to keep them a surprise for fans of this build until after Christmas when I can afford them.
                          Cairns represent! Which part you from? Where you located now?

                          More Motivation;

                          I love everything about this Ute. SO close to perfect except for the fitment.

                              Theirs quite a few minitrucks up here all of which I dont like a single bit. SO its my goal to give all the other truckers something to froth over. :P
