  • My MK4 Jetta

Here's my 05' MK4 Jetta. I bought it in April '13 with 68,000 miles, it's a 2.slow but it will do for now. I haven't done as much as I have wanted to do but now I'm finally getting to it. The biggest thing I have done to it are the bags (Airlift auto pilot V2) The rest is cosmetic stuff like wheel, side skirts, a lip.

First day I picked it up

After bags, wheels, a lip, side skirts.
    Roof rack stage

Then it was time for a frame notch. I am still running the stock sway bar. But I plan to do the TT control arm and spindle conversion this winter which will also follow with the TT sway bar which runs under the axle.

    Took the roof racks off

Started on my trunk set up

And this is how it's been for about 4 months. Haven't really done much do it

Got really sick of it and almost sold it but I still wanted to get it to where I wanted it. So I ordered new rear hub bearings for IDF drop plates.

The current wheel set up is killing me. When I first got these wheels I had no idea about stretch or fitment. But now that I do I have my eyes on a set of staggered 3SDM 0.06's. They are the last thing I want to purchase, mainly because of the winter. In the mean time I want to do the TT front end conversion, get a set of GLI side skirts, fog lights in the grill inserts, and IDF drop plates.

Here's how it looks with the front rub strip and lip matched. Much cleaner in my opinion

And then this came today. A OEM GLI rear valence

Test fitting it after some paint

That's all for now. I know it isn't a crazy build like something with a shaved bay but I'm finally getting it cleaner and to where I want it. Next purchase will be a set of GLI side skirts.

Have you trimmed your rear bump stops and subframe for control arm clearance/ notch? Might sit a bit lower.

Rear bump stops have been removed. The front has the pinch welds hammered, frame notch and I'm going to trim the sub frame when I drop it for the sway bar
