Thought I'd post this build thread here because some of the mustang guys just can't appreciate this.


I recently acquired this '70 mach 1 from my dad after selling my '72 fastback. I'm going for a Trans Am/Magnus Walker/Allan Moffat look with this car. I drive this car to school most days.

Currently:
351w
4 speed
15x8 minilites
street legal road race Hoosiers
3" drop in front
i think about 2" in back
3" side pipes

Future Plans:
rebuild 351
get better tires for street use
front and rear spoilers
trans am style fender flares
remove mach 1 trim
Hella lights
6-point cage
etc

Looks like a good start. A lot better than my 65 coupe was when we started. Excited to see where it goes.

Honestly my new favorite car on s/w. I absolutely love trans am/road race muscle. Every time I see a small body muscle car set up for drag it makes me sick. Please please do this right and follow through with your plans. Wonderful mustang can't wait to see more.
