  • My e30, from 100% original to my vision

    Dear S/W people,
after reading and scrolling on this site for quite some while now, i figured it was time to join this awesome group of car fanatics!
first of all, i'm from Belgium and my native language is Dutch, so keep in mind that i will be making spelling errors
I've just bought me another e30 (for the 3rd time) and with this one i want to go all the way! The stanced way that is

    I previously owned a 1990 e30 316i 4 door, then a 1993 e36 318is coupe, then a 1989 e30 320i convertible, then a 1995 e39 520i and now i own a 1989 e30 316i 2 door.

I found this car on the www and it was about 100km from my home. It was in 100% original condition and it had a full service history at 1 and the same bmw dealer.
It is a Lagunengrün example with only 135k kilometers on the clock and a few options: manual sunroof, leather sport steeringwheel, leather gearknob, digital clock and temperature gage, rev counter and painted bumpers and mirrors.

I understand you're now tired from reading way to many explaination, so i would love to post some pics, but i have not figured out yet how i can get decent size pictures attached, they allways are too large! So i hope these small pics give u a good idea of how my car

            a cool pic i think

a few mods i've done so far:

a cd playes with usb port and some alpine speakers

and it had a cracked side mirror, fixed that

And the leather gearknob was ok, but i prefer my small size pool ball

Hope u guys like the ugrades so far...
Got some staggered bbs styling 19's that will get a refurb that will be my summer wheel and getting a rare set of Enkei's for the winter, Enkei EK96 in 16"
Also got some lowering springs that my girlfriend bought me for my christmas, so expext those to go on between christmas and newyears

I'm pretty sure that those are 9j 5x120 Remotec's, not THAT rare as you say, but getting pretty much vintage by every year.
Fenders need a bit of work before you put them on, if you are re-drilling centers. If not, with adapters it will be more of a pain in the a*s

Good luck, they are looking great when done properly:

oh, forgot to mention - that big amount of poke will look hilarious on not so slammed (as far as i see yours) E30, those wheels beg for slamming and negative camber

The poke in that car needs much more camber both front and back... and more loww... The wheels look good on there though! I like the "step lip" look.

Well dear Fetka, I must tell you that you are wrong on the remotecs...
It are in fact Enkei's these are the ek96 version in 16 inch and 8J wide... Made in Japan in 1989
My e30 will be slammed (eventually) don't you worry about that

Ok, so finally i got the lowering springs installed. It was fun to do because i did it with a good friend of mine it took us more then 6 hours to get it done lost a lot of time because we installed everything en then got the front springs out again to cut a coil of beacause it just didn't look right, had some reverse rake
In the front it dropped 6cm en in the back 4cm. Not much but definetely a lot better then stock height!!!

Next step is to polish my rims and paint the centres...
