Thats a great place to start from and the price was good! If it were mine i'd get the mechanical sorted out then get after the bumpers, tires, suspension, sunroof, etc. Tons of fun stuff to do on this.

There are a couple of awesome 2002 builds on the board that you should check out if you havent already.

For springs ireland engineering has springs that drop 1.5 in front and rear and every other option 1.25 or less. If you have a bigger budget you can always go with ground controls.

Tire wise anything smaller than a 195 shouldn't require rolling the fenders.

Just checked, tires are 205 60r13. First time I drove it they rubbed a bit but the past few days they haven't rubbed at all maybe the lip got bent just enough? Idk

The TR6 had a ton of rust and all the suspension needed to be rebuilt, I did all I could really without spending a ton of money. I needed something more practical as a daily as well and I don't have the space/time/money for 2 cars. Id love to own another one someday though. Top down cruising is soo much fun.

Anyone have any creative ideas for a headliner alternative? The factory one requires that the glass be removed and I do not feel comfortable doing that on my own. I supposed I could pay a shop but I try to spend as little money on labor as possible.

No matter what I do to the interior, its gonna look like shit until a get a headliner sorted.

Glass is really easy to remove on the 02s. Probably would be a great time to replace the rubber and save you from rot. Just something to think about the rubber is really cheap from BLUNT. Few threads on 02faqs on removal. If you have questions just PM me.

Have you used the URO brand seals from blunt? I heard they are alright for door seals but everything Ive read said stick to OEM only for windshields.

Like type of fabric or what? I think it would be badass to run the M-Tech fabric but thats just because I wish I could put it on everything. Another cool thing would be the automotive suede. Hopefully this helps?

                      Winter+No Garage=slow progress.

Visually the car looks pretty much exactly the same. I've been slowly working on improving driveability.

                      - Fixed some dash lights
                      - Fixed tach
                      - Straightened steering wheel
                      - Fixed tag lights
                      - New visors that don't rain foam dust on me when i try yo use em
                      - I'm sure there's a few other small things

I needed to replace the drive shaft guibo and my shifter was looser than prostitute pussy and it made sense to do those all at once. Unfortunately it has taken 3.5 weeks to gather everything due to out of stock parts, slow shipping ( "Priority 2-Day" took 10 days ), and missing parts (IE forgot to give me the foam piece).

Hopefully all of this will be installed before the end of the weekend (new rear trans mount in there too!)

I CANT WAIT FOR CRISP SHIFTS...and to just drive it again. Its been out of commission due to the current state of the guibo.

Not much of an update... Had my master cylinder go out on the highway a few weeks back. I was able to get it home without a tow but its definitely unnerving when your brake pedal goes all the way to the floor with no effect haha. Anyways I replaced the MC with a larger bore one from a tii. Ive been a bit focused on a preventative brake maintenance as of late.

Ive got new brake cylinders for the rear as one had a snapped bleeder valve and the cylinders themselves are pretty damn cheap. All the hard lines look pretty good, especially the important(front) ones. Decided to replace all of the flexible lines though as a few of mine are starting to crack. Went ahead and got one for the clutch as well.

                          Braided lines are sooo pretty!

I've been surprisingly successful at restraining myself from playing with exterior/aesthetic bits. I've been keeping myself distracted with little jobs...fixed the turn signal cancel, fixed the horn, put my washer bottle in there. Just small stuff that makes driving a bit more enjoyable.

Expect more exciting updates as the weather continues to get nicer!

Even if it's slow I like where this is going - So clean though for $3k, I was expecting a bunch of 'surprise' rust.

Ill be honest, there is definitely some shitty body work in a few places but no where that I really care about. The floor pans are screwed in sheet metal but all the seams have been sealed. Its actually a really clean repair considering how ghetto it is. There's a bit of messy body filler below the front bumper (which will be covered whenever I decide what air dam I want), and there's a bit of the same behind the rear bumper as well.

All of that will be taken care of properly at some point but I **** doing body work and I **** paying for labor so its staying that way for now haha.

I would suggest the black plastic airdam. The fiberglass ones break very easy. They break if you bump anything where the plastic ones can take anything.
