Also, a little update on the 96, Summit Racing catback ordered, so my clearance issues will be fixed, so I can drop it more. Also a lot of my friends know that I believe the 96 is possessed, at the very least she has her own personality for sure haha. I got in her to turn the radio on to listen to while working on the 80, as the 96 is parked in front of it, and I was greeted with this lol.

Summit racing catback for the 96, after looking at it I'm almost positive its a re-badged Flowmaster, so at half the price I couldn't beat this deal. It won't sound as good, or look as clean with the tips oming out the rear, but it will give me the clearance to lower the car more, finally lol

Finally have an update, 7 of 8 spark plugs replaced, the number 4 plug was cross threaded at some point, so of course, I'll have to re-thread it because nothing is easy/cars suck/old cars blow/etc.

Windshield wipers and the cowl shield grate were re-installed. I did get the driver side lock working and mounted it, so now the car can be locked/unlocked. The driver side mirror is installed but won't stay tight, and the passenger mirror is to loose to install at all, so some bigger self tapping auto-body screws should do the trick, so hopefully I'll get those finished soon.

I have front brake pads I just got in, so now I'll have to pull the old rotors and hopefully they can be resurfaced. I don't have a leak anywhere, and the fluid is full, but have no brake pressure, I'm thinking bad master cylinder?

sadly due to school and work, this is just taking way longer than I expected, but she's starting to come along nicely. Once I have the 80 roadworthy, and can start driving it a lot, it'll be time to look for a bigger engine and some suspension goodies. I have a setup in mind to drop it 4/3 f/r for pretty cheap, so I can't wait.

The 96 was a beast this winter, sideways basically everyday, but I never got stuck with her! The air dam is about 2 inches off the ground, so some of the bigger snow storms were a little sketchy. I think for next winter I'll take it off, because the bumper itself sits a lot higher than the air dam.

Both cars are pretty sweet. You should slam the older Camaron on some rad wide Jdm wheels with stretched tires and piss off everyone in America

It's nice to see another camaro though, I guess. You should check out some of the other fourth Gen camaro build threads for inspiration

My thoughts were better weight balance (handling/snow driving benefits), the 3800 is more reliable than an lt1, and it gets better fuel mileage and is way cheaper to insure. LS1 cars are awesome, but I don't like the look of the 98-02 front end as much, plus 3 years ago lsx camaros were at the really high end of my budget.

thanks though man, I have seen the red ls1 camaro and the metallic grey lt1 camaro on here, and they're both gorgeous cars, and definitely give me some ideas.
