The joys of owning an old car indeed... I have a love/**** relationship with mine. Hasn't broken in a while, so it's in my good graces atm

It sure feels that way. Some days I **** it and others I love it. Joy's of owning an old car i guess.Originally posted by Raarasutra View PostHell yes! You'll have fun fixing the shit out of it forever
Yeah that's what my searching shows me as well. Once this crappy weather where I'm at settles down Ill get started fixing thing's like that. Cold weather sucks all motivation out of my body to work on my cars.Originally posted by mystere485 View PostThe gauge cluster lights... theres a rheostat that is a combination push odo reset and turn light dimmer. No real big updates as of yet. My GF and I just moved into a new house January 1st so i've been tied up with moving stuff. I've just been driving it and fixing small things I have to along the way. A few weeks ago the loose alternator belt snapped and while replacing it (again) I realized that the PO had lost and botched fixed the alternator bracket spacer. The entire bracket looked like it was beat on with a hammer and ran over from multiple belt changes over the years so I had to remove it and straighten it best i could. With a straight bracket and a proper spacer my belts no longer squeak like crazy and It's fixed for good
The cold weather here has been making the car hard to near impossible to start in the mornings. I installed all new glow plugs which helped alot and I did order a factory Mercedes block heater which is yet to be installed. Sorry for no update pic's on repairs. I promise I'll try harder
I will leave you guy's with a picture edit comparison of a photo I took in my old driveway the last day of moving. It's a cell shot I played with for like a minute.

Thanks.. That means alot from someone who most likely knows tons more than me about photography
. I just know basic stuff but i dont really try to hard lol. Im an electrician so wiring a new stereo together doesnt scare me at all. Im to lazy to tear the dash apart to find a fuse for a stereo that probably sucks ass anyway.

From somebody who is really getting into photography, you have done a great job of those photos
When it comes to the stereo system i think a complete rewire is a good idea. I'm No expert buy I think the replacement wire will accommodate modern speakers better due to advances in quality.

Thanks!! Ive reads a few things about these radios and why the stop working. Apparently its a fuse behind the dash somewhere and not the radio itself. Im not going for an oem type restoration but im not trying to ruin rare/desirable parts either.

Bad ass dude, don't throw out that Becker radio though, they're getting harder to find and quite expensive on Ebay. Love the pics btw

I plan on rolling hard as fuck on these hubcaps for a while. New wheels are far down the road for this car. I have been thinking of getting spacers for the rear wheels so their not so sunk in though...Originally posted by aLaFleur View PostThis really makes me miss rolling on the hubcaps...
On with the pics. I stress again that im not a photographer but i think these came out ok. If you dont like them I dont care
.... This spot is the dead end of the main road to my house. Enough of my bullshit.. here you go

These photos do a good job of hiding alot of imperfections in the car lol. Plans now are....
Figure out why I have no gauge cluster lights..
Tighten new belts that stretched and are squealing like a stuck pig..
Replace all shocks to accommodate the drop in ride height and all around shit ride..
completely rewire a new stereo system (im to lazy to figure out why it doesnt work)...
Some sort of rust repair..
New seat foam of some sort..
Thanks for looking!!
