  • Throwing myself to the sharks....

Been lurking around here for ages, never felt I'd bother posting my car, but I'm becoming quite happy with where it started, and where It's getting to.

    Quick "mod" list
    2001 Jetta Wolfsburg 1.8T
    APR cold air intake
    Forge DV
    Concept1 Coils
    OEM GLi Tails
    Tinted 35% fronts, 20% rears
    Poly bushings all around

Pics speak 1000's of words, so I'll just get to it

Bone stock, taken at the liquor store about 10 mins after driving it off the lot haha

    Stock + too much Plasti-dip

Peeled the dip off my wheels and installed coils (first height)

    Lowering some more, bigger spacers

55W Yellow fog bulbs, badgeless grille without notch filled (Back to OEM)

Then finally got something worth sharing

    18x8.5 - 205/40R18
    18x9.5 - 215/40/R18

Front fitment I'm quite happy with, Rears need a spacer and to come down a ways yet. These wheels are off again for winter already

I have seen this car! Driving in burnaby, sometime in the morning,
Lol spotted that fitment from a ways back, was super happy to see legit wheels.

any chance the rear will come down in the spring?

keep up the good work, its clean

          Thanks for the kind words!
Rear will come down in the spring, it's sitting kind goofy like that I can understand the concern haha.

I live in Nanaimo, I haven't been to Vancouver since I got those wheels installed.

          Plans for the future are,
Spacing the rear a little bit in the spring and lower all around, and I'm looking for a GLi kit. Other stuff in the works as well

Had a friend send me some more of the photo's he's snapped for me, figured I'd throw em up here as well.

Ordered some R line pedals last night, looking for a deadpedal to match now. Car is on steelies for the winter now, and I'm ordering spacers and new bolts for re mounting the 3DSM's come spring.

The front's needed a spacer to clear the Coil, I mounted them for the summer using a 10mm and had my fenders rolled. No clearance issues there, so I'm happy with that. I think I'm going to match the rear with 10's as well, so all 4 wheels will sit at ET25 after spacers if I'm understanding correctly. Front helpers have to come out to go any lower, rears however, have plenty of space. Hurry up Spring...

            Enjoy

Mini update, I treated myself to a few Christmas presents for the car this year. I've got
              -4Motion front lip
              -10MM rear spacers
              -Black anodized wheel bolts
              -3 inch stainless turbo downpipe

Next things up on the list are some interior projects I've been wanting to take on for a little while now
