I am not a big fan on the style of wheel, but this car is awesome looking! It will make an amazing VIP car.

We only have the 5th gen 929's here in the states, so I've never seen one that looks like this.

    (also an old post)
Oh yeah, I meant to update this. I got spacers fitted.

    Before

    After

Every thing has been certified too. So now it's fully road legal in New Zealand.

Want less under car gap, but can only really achieve that with 18's and / or a body kit.

Anyway, it's ready to legally cruise for this summer so I am happy.

A recent pic from before the cruise.

started a topic My never ending search for lows.

My never ending search for lows.

This first post was from an old intro thread, (just so you know where I've started from)

    -----------------------

    Hi all,

I bought my Mazda Sentia, or as America may know it 929 about mid last year.

It's my daily driver so modifications have been slow but I have a lot of plans.

This is how I bought her.

    Debadged in this pic.

Not a super common car, so it means there isn't a lot of aftermarket for it. But this makes the whole modification process all the more interesting.

I added wheels, 9.5" all around.

After realising my suspension was on its way out I had to come up with a plan to replace it.

Since it was hard enough to get standard replacement shocks, I started researching coil over adjustable suspension, of which there aren't a whole lot of options.

After trolling the internet for what must have been half a year some used JIC's popped up in Australia. I bought them and when I got them found that all the inserts where terrible. The guy I got them from was real nice and gave me a full refund. I used that money to then get them rebuilt. Being JIC's and for a Sentia this wasn't easy.

But finally got a good solution from Russell at GeorgeStock and we replaced them with Koni racing inserts custom made to fit.

    Rebuilt:

Finally got them in and this is how she sits for now.

Plans are to get some spacers to push the wheels out a little...

Further down the track (hopefully this year)

I plan on swapping out the engine and gear box.

Thinking a 1UZFE conversion would be great.

Oh, it's RWD so that should the new engine more fun.

Thoughts , Ideas welcome. I know it's not ground scraping yet. lol
Working...
