No i wasnt drunk, i was completely sober, driving from one job to another. Still unsure of what happened, but i got some tests done and am going tomorrow to get results, likely that it was a seizure of some sort. Like Funfgang said, i loved it, but in the end it was slow and fwd. I'm mostly over the car. Haven't been driving since the incident. hoping to get cleared to drive soon, and start looking for a miata Rwd, convertible, and lightweight. cant wait

Wheel was destroyed by going over a curb. you can see the top of one of my d2's

Or it could be the fact that despite it being a cool looking car, it was still a '90s, fwd, spray- painted Toyota.

Regardless, glad that it sounds like you're alright, and I'm looking forward to the next project.

Looking for an NA miata when i get my next car i'll upload a link to its thread. sadly i had just installed D2 full coilovers 2 days before the wreck. This time i have enough money to buy the car and get coils right away so expect updates soon!

    2-Door Camry. Hoe god!

Surprised there was once a Market for a 2-Door? Strange.

diamond racing steelies. I know they might be played out, but theyre rare on toyotas, and nobody's done them on a camry (except for a gen 2 wagon) as far as i know.

My last car had bigger wells in the front than the rear, so I decided to tuck the front tires and go with a lot of forward rake. Forward rake looks a lot meaner than even being even on a car with different size wells.

Red would look awesome! What kind of wheels are you getting?

Yes, i **** how it sits as well. not actually reverse rake, the front is lower than the back, but the fenders are cut different. No matter, thats why i'm saving for coilovers.

As to the paint, i did that because i was sick of the crappy tan, faded, and covered in marks from old stickers. meant to be temporary, but has grown on me. gonna keep ot for a year or so then get a real paint job. thinking candy apple red, but like a little more maroon than that.

New wheels are also in the works after coilovers, but for $150 on craigslist, theyre a hell of a lot better than steelies.

Also I am putting myself through college so money is tight, hence the "budget build" flavor so far. But more recently i have decided that saving slowly for better parts will be better in the end.

Mod it like some of the zenki s14's on here, go for the same style and it should turn out perfectly. While still being unique.

I do agree with willis though, the rattle can paint job and reverse rake kills it for me.

2 door, 5 speed. Blew my mind.

Then how bad it looks did too.
I feel like it could have been good but the spraypaint and wheels and reverse rake killed it.
