Spring is around the corner, our in and out Ohio warm weather gave me some time outside haha.

    I finally sold the AR26 15x8 -20

I was selling them for $300 and then i dropped down to $250,
buyer offered me $200 and a set o.e. chevy 15x7 rally wheels.
which originally i wasn't very interested in the rally wheels, but turns out they were
actually 15x6 and 15x7 genie wheels, so i took the deal.

I did some rummaging through random google searched hotrod and classic wheel photos,
after pricing out trim rings and dome caps, i decided not to mess with them.

2 were silver and 2 were black, the obvious answer was to paint them all white.
    Classy (enough)

I went ahead and mounted them up, just for the hell of it.
I'm glad to have eight 5 on 5 pcd wheels now, i drove around all last summer with no spare.

    15x6 -20 195/55R15
    15x7 -25 185/60R15

Other good news, i'm waiting to get my new wheels.
    Order wheels, bought tires!

Over the course of this project my wagon developed a rod knock, with the goal of
minimizing down time, i decided to find a better base than swap out the motor, in the end
the money spent would be nearly the same, on top of not having to replace/fix the rest of the problems the red wagon had going on.

      Soooooooo

      I bought this 1989 240 wagon
160k miles, 5 speed, leather, nice inside and out.
      $1000

Needed brakes bad, needs tune up.

Fast Fwd... wife was in he hospital, i didn't get anything done to it until last week.

Tore this down, doing a full suspension swap, my coilovers, panhard, and brakes are all going on the blue wagon. Removed my round headlight buckets, those are also going on the new 240.

      ]

      Rear coilovers, rust. lol

I swapped the front brakes, broke all 6 bleeder bolts. FML
Went ahead and bought new front calipers, mounted up the adapters, wheels, did a little fender/rear quarter pull.

The factory 1989 wagon suspension and brakes all thrown back on this rig, its new owner loaded it up and hauled i away. bye byeeee

Identified my replacement bumpers. Going with replica 69 camaro front and rear. chrome.
I feel like i have a lot to do, won't be at ease until its sitting how i want it. hahah

I forgot to add that new wheels and tires arrived, mounted, ready to go.
17x9 205 45. Test fit looked really nice, a inch less poke than my negative offset 15x8 setup.
I had to hit up Dave Barton for the custom Volvo center caps too.
Wanting to stencil white letter or yellow letter on the tires. Haven't decided.

              Interior shot, wheels, caps, baby.

In the winter my time spent obsessing over cars doubles.
I'm just lurking builds and parts. Lol
Jealous that people elsewhere can just go outside
and work on their cars, go to meets, track days.
While I'm rolling around on steelies, spending all my free
                  time inside.

Agreed. I have a very large parts pile I need to put to use

Also, what saab inserts did you use for your struts and shocks? Billie HDs are so much for a Volvo, but I know some Saabs will fit. I'm going with RSi coilovers.

So with some further research I am seeing that the "shortned shocks( B46-1412-HO)" RSi are selling are from GM trucks. So there's no issue there. No luck finding what your using as your front inserts

                          hey hey teejsauce! haha
I got fed up with my bumper search, this is the cheapest most practical option, im going to order them and make them fit. hahah
cut, weld, make brackets, mix in a little of the oem volvo trim. i think i can pull it off. I'm willing to take the risk :-D

I purchased KYB inserts for 97 SAAB 900. 50mm shorter than stock.

                              Blue on white works well!

Is it the electric overdrive trans, or the actual 5 speed?
