so i finally pulled the trigger on starting to paint my bumpers. its been a long time coming. but i made a little bit of progress today. it was a tad cold so it took a while for the primer to dry after about 3 coats. heres some pictures! its supposed to be warmer tomorrow so i should get color and clear on it!





i didnt get a chance to shoot a picture with it on the ground. hopefully tomorrow!

Tails are actually us spec. But the tails, trunk, and rear bumper are all from a '05-'07 with the the sport appearance package. However you are correct about the front bumper! So thanks man!

I shot the color today. All I can say is screw the cold. I thought it would be warm enough to spray but I guess not. I'm sure my prep work wasn't the best either as I was rushing a little. But I sprayed the color and I was upset so I said screw the clear and not even waste the time or money. I'm pretty down about it but hey, life goes on. Here's a pic if anyone cares. Lol.

It definitely looks a lot better than the black plastic. Even the white primer but I am in no way satisfied with it. I'm just gonna try again when it's warmer.

It sure is cold aint it! im in detroit and it didnt pass 28 degrees today and with all the dang ol wind, it felt like 8 or something lol.

welp. heres a pretty decent update i suppose. lets start with the tires and the mishap that went along with that. lol. i went to go buy tires. got em installed and left. while i was driving back i had some fairly decent rubbing in the rear as i expected since these tires actually have tread as compared to the drag slicks that were on it previously. so anyways. i pulled into a parking lot to see if it was anything crazy. it wasnt. so i was happy about that. well i go to get back into the car, and remember that my drivers door doesnt open from the outside. all the other doors were locked and all 4 windows were up....the car was running :headbang: so i went and picked up a rock. stood in front of my rear passengers side window for about 5 minutes contemplating what i was gonna do. long story short i smashed the window and went on my merry way. i was pissed.

but heres some good news! well i guess it depends who you are. lol. i ended up trading a guy my 98 euro front for a sonic blue svt front that needs some work. i was pretty stoked. thats what ive wanted for a long time and this one didnt have a crack down the center. lol. so i got that all put on yesterday/today. pretty happy about it. but i still dont like how high it sits. but oh well. what can you do. heres a picture. i know i went all "follower" on this one, but hey i think its just a clean looking bumper. so i didnt want to have to deal with the crack. lol.



second score! i ended up picking up a used mk1.5 trunk lid...in cd silver. needs finished debadging but hey, at least its silver. hah.


also got my fenders rolled in the rear so i have no more rubbing issues. except in the front a bit with the splash shields still in place. those are coming out soon tho. lol.
