  • My Fat Bottomed Girl - 1990 Boosted Miata.

I'm gonna cut all the old stuff out and just move onto the new.

The cars a wide(ish) body turbo miata.

If you're actually interested on what's done to it a lot of into can be found here.

I can also answer some questions.
Here's a few shots of the car as of a few weeks ago:

    Then I picked up these.....

And am slowly turning them into these...

15x10 front 15x11 rear BBS RMs.

Planning on getting the faces powdercoated white, and polishing up the lips real nice.

Adjustable RUCAs are in the mail to help get rid of some of the poke.

This is my first wheel build so bear with me

Thanks guys! I have some RUCAs in the mail. I'm hoping to get the wheel lip as close to flush with the overfenders as possible. Already have about 6* of cambers, I calculated ill need another 6 or so... I hope it doesn't look dumb.

I'm also terrified of destroying the rear fiberglass overfenders.

At this point in the build, I'm pretty much focusing on getting these 1 of a kind (I think) BBS RMs to fit.

Somewhere in the 180s on 10-12psi if memory serves me right. Right now it's just running a shitty fuel management "band-aid" (retard box, fmu) , ill be upgrading to a standalone unit in the future and take advantage and this little 1.6. Right now I just feel like it's not even close to it's potential, I'm hoping for somewhere in the 220whp area one day.

I think so too... Trying to stay away from rediculous camber while still squeezing these huge wheels under will be a challenge.

Soo how much poke is too much?
Right now the lip of the wheel to the quarters has about 1.25" of poke.
Completely flush will just result is an expensive over fender destroyed.
Barley tucked will need quite a bit of camber.
Each degree of camber brings the wheel ~3.4mm closer.
Right now I'm at about 5.5* of camber and it's not that extreme at all.
If I bing it to 10* ill have another 18mm or so... That's what, 3/4"? Leavin me with 1/2" of poke....

Don't mind my rambling. I don't know what I'm doing.

Faces are going to be white, I'm not much of a NY Knicks fan.

Ill post a poke shot next time I see the car. I work a lot, it sits in my garage a lot.

Nvm I have a picture on my phone.

Started the lengthy process of these "lips". There were a lottttt of imperfections from the manufacturing process, because obviously they aren't meant for lips. I had to start with 180grit, and slowly moved up to 400grit. Took about an hour and a half to even get that far.

Gonna slowly work my way up to 1500-2000 grit. Imperfections are completely gone. I should have taken before pictures...

I just need to unbolt it from my rim and get to work around the bolts.

Yes I know this is probably not the safest way to polish wheels. But the pizza box protects my fingers from getting caught!
