So done a load of boring jobs of late, in prep for winter. Cleared the drain holes, gave it an oil, filters and fluids service and undersealed it. Had a go at removing the front tow hooks as they are rusty and unfashionable, not the easy 5 minute job I was expecting! Even tho I'm bare hench I ended up having to use air tools. They were obviously applied by Chuck Norris or something tsss...
Polished it up and removed mud flaps...
Yeah, your right it defo looks better with mud flaps.
Anyway decided to fit RCL, alarm and immobilser because where I were fetched up EVERYONE likes ripping up the estate in a stoley. I once caught my nan trying to thieve next doors car (I shouted but she made off at terrifying leg speeds) and it is common for mother and daughter days out to include a ram raid. Cant be that many wires right? Should be almost effortless. Plain sailing you say? 3 days later....
Urrrrgh
Should have some worthy mod pics up this week, dont you worry I'v been working on a few bits and bats...
The luggage rack? I will be changing the whole boot lid pretty soon and putting a ducktail on it. And yeah this mx5 surprised me, plenty of fun and really well put together
Turned up to the Halloween Posty Cruise with an almost flat battery so only got a few pics. Good turnout though and plenty of drifting action through out. Fancy dress prizes for best outfit and car so thought id have a go....
Would have looked way better without the number plate being such a burden to my front end, but some over-achiever has riveted it on.
My personal fave of the night...
It is mate, was owned by some old couple who have kept it immaculate. It's a real find in this condition especially in the UK where they all rot to death
I can relate to that, rust is the enemy here in the uk! Clean 5 though
:P pengiuns pecker. haha the mx looks tidy, good luck.

So… After having high rolled it in a 350bhp powerhouse I decided it was time for a change. Previous car…
I loved the power, looks and performance of the GTO but the car was at the stage where there was not a lot more I could do with it without spending big moneys for little gains. In short, I wanted a new project car. I had my heart set on a certain limited edition 90’s sport saloon (still on the list, ;-) ) as a daily driver, but then a mate at work showed me what he had got up to the past week. He had bought a mk2 mx5 (nb) for £1300, silver on black with a black hood. I had never previously considered an mx5 as I am male, but after hearing how he wrapped it into a wall a few times 6 days after buying it I thought this sounded like a laugh. I promptly began to research stanced mx5’s and it turns out, if certain conditions are met, mx5’s can be driven by real men. Who knew? A deal was made on the GTO, an mk1 mx5 (coz pop up lights are cooler than a penguins pecker) was bought and some money put aside for the daily driver mentioned above. Here is the mx5 as I bought it…
Plan is to sort out the looks first so that I won’t attract homosexuals on the way to my roller-skating class, and take it drifting and hill climbing as and when funds allow.
