  • E28, slo-skid-fun car. Ma bitch!

So i am registered on this side a few (3-4) years and i think it's time to say hi to you all car-sick guys in here!
I'm thodoras from greece and here is my story with the E28.
I bought it as my first car for the extreme price of 350 euros (480 usd) to use it as a daily driver and for some occasional skidding. It was a 518 carburated but pretty decent to my taste and skills at the time, it didn't consume the expensive greek gasoline like a beast so everythings cool!
Here are some photos taken on its first days under my ownership....

After a few months a friend of mine calls and says (the devil himself) that theres guy selling a 318is engine with everything on it for like 500 euros. So i say why not, its a pretty decent engine, low consumption was a major issue, and its like 140hp plus i had the oportunity to get for a full ride with his car and see what the engine does and how it works. 'Nough said, i took it and store it to be there waiting for the installation.
    And so it begins

wish i had more photos of the conversion :/

After almost a year of bad mechanics from various greek m#thaf&ckas i completed the engine conversion on my own, learning on the way, but paying my own mistakes and bad choises and not some other guys..Anyway, the engines in and after some fuel pump issues and some vacuum leaks, it was performing perfectly and it was ready to drive me everywere and go sideways easily. Picture time now!

I love m42's=) I have one in my compact. Such an under rated motor. It does take a good bit to get more power out of them though

Yeah it's an underestimated motor I agree! I love it cause it has some respectable power for a bmw 1.8, and really low consumption regarding its power and its years... Once i did like 70 kilometers to go to a small track, i burned up 2 sets of tyres and returned (another 70 kms) and all the car asked was 20 litres of gasoline
