I'll try to keep this short and sweet.
As of late, I've been wanting to write up a build thread for my nice little e39. It's98 528i to be exact. In the two years that i kept her mostly stock, I haven't had to do anything big to keep her healthy. I had to replace a center support bearing and that was about it for a while.
Then I got in a bit of an accident that took the car off the road to fix/replace the bumper, headlights, passenger fender, and various other little parts.IMG_0997.jpg
I half-assed and replaced the cooling while I was at it, but i moved to ocean city maryland for the summer where she sat with a blown wp for about two months. i just skated from place to place, not needing the car for transportation. Then mid summer I decided to replace the belts/thermostat/wp and get her back on the road.

that brings me to the end of the summer when I bought some BC coilovers and saved up some money so that when I moved back to my home in Bel Air, MD, I could get some new rubber, refinish the wheels and install the coilovers without having to return to my job.
I came home and jumped right into refinishing my 17 inch style 5s, which came out quite nice

I installed the coilovers while i was refinishing my wheels, but the passenger front lower mount seized up on me so I had to order a whole new shock body and so she sat with the passenger side at stock ride height for a week and a half or so...

When I got the new strut and lower mount I transplanted the other parts and immediately installed it. I played with the ride height/preload/camber for a bit and ended up with this:

For now, wheels aren't in the budget, so I'm just going to fit the style 5's with 30mm spacers all around to get rid of the terrible sunken in wheels.
and in my free time today I took this
I'll upload some more quality photos real soon.
