I've had 17x9 et22, with both 205/40's and 255/40.
The 205/40 setup was, poorly rolled fenders and stock camber. No rubbing at all.
The 255/40 was with really good fender job, not pulled tho. and maxed out stock camber arms. No rubbing at the fenders, tho a little on the stock bumper, could be trimmed to clear tho.

i think the 205/40 will suit my needs. my cars lowered a good amount and theres a decent amount of camber. so i think itll work. thanks im currently trying to get 17x8.5 et17s to fit (and by that i mean im playing chase the right tire size cause im broke so im trying to barter the 225/45/17s i have for a pair of 205/40 or 205/45)
