  • The S-Line A6 named Quicksilver.

Before we begin I would like to mention that I had a 2000 2.7T A6 prior to this, but the oil burning and maintenance was beginning to be a fucking pain in the ass. Also the 2000 had one feature I cannot stand....:

I couldn't justify keeping such a powerful car with a slush box, so I quickly started to searching for the rare breed of this car, the 6MT. The 2.7t mated with the 6MT can easily produce >850 horsepower with bigger turbos, because of its forged pistons and crankshaft.

After looking for about 3 months I found a 2001 (the most reliable year for the 2.7T) with slightly more kilometers than my 2000, but with a much cleaner body, because it was a BC vehicle. The previous owner was meticulous to change the oil every 4000km and rebuilt the turbos twice. This motor-vehicle has 220,000 km and still boosts stock 11 psi. BRAP.

    Without further ado, the progress.

This is how she looked when I first got her:

Needed some body work done, this is literally the only thing wrong with the exterior (the huge fucking scratch on the bumper). Other than that its minty fresh:

    Dat engine doe:

Best engine the Audi ever made if maintained properly, full stop.

    Oil was good.......

    ....... and brake/clutch fluid I topped up......

.... so I proceeded to close the hood.

I took out the foglight/inter-cooler intake things and repainted them black:

    Much better

Interior needed no work, fucking flawless...

DEM SEATS DOE I AM SO HAPPY THIS CAR CAME WITH THE OPTIONAL RECAROS:

And of course the most important part of it all, the whole reason we are here

That is it for now guys, I will update soon, probably wont go lower than that until next year because winter is coming here in Ontario, land of mooses, maple syrup and loose french women. Thanks alot, stay tuned! -Alex

        Pics for you pleasure.

Not really and update as I am still trying to save for my new wheels and suspension. I am a bicycle tech at a local shop so my work is very seasonal. I will be going with coil-overs of course because:

        1: This is a performance motor-vehicle.
        2: Bags are for groceries.

As for wheels I am really leaning towards the 3SDM 0.01 because they are reasonably priced and look very good on older Audi's:

I really **** my stock wheels right now, ridiculously heavy and I just fucking DISLIKE chrome wheels. I someone knows a 3SDM distributor around Ottawa, Canada, please don't be afraid of telling me about it.
For coil-overs I am going with the ST Coil-overs because they are made by KW and are also very reasonable priced for what you get:

Now on to some more recent pictures because I don't wanna waste your time.
        Please excuse the sky-high stance.

Thanks for your time guys. Cheers!

the 2.7t cannot easily produce 750hp. it will need a ton of money tossed into it to make that. good luck with it.
If you're ordering custom adapters, call 775.530.2483 to make sure you are getting exactly what you want. Thanks

Yes, but compared to the other motors such as the 4.2 (which I have), 3.0 or the 2.8, the 2.7T in the C5 platform is probably has the best bet bang for your buck when it comes to aftermarket tuning.

I'd heavily suggest skipping the ST's. The non dampening and bad spring rates make for a interesting ride. Buy a set of lightly used V2 KW's instead.

Shit sorry typo, I meant 570hp*. With the RS6-R turbos, an FMIC and a decent tune, you can get those numbers. But for 750hp, holy shit you would need to bore the cylinders out to 2.8 and run some pretty crazy boost.
