So three weeks ago I went on a 6 hour round trip to pick up a 1997 BMW 318ti that I wanted for my latest project. Was happy with the car, a few faults which shall all be sorted. Here's the car after I got it home.
It came with 17'' BBS RC041's, lowered on FK springs all round and a stupid exhaust!
The plans are to fully respray it the same colour. Tidy up the interior a bit. Full refurb on the wheels with some new tyres. Add coilovers and spacers and then go from there.
Front end prepped and ready for paint
Cleaned, taped up and ready for some colour!
Here's the outcome! The car will be done in stages. Hence the front end been done first, next is one of the sides, then the rear and then finally the last remaining side because I can't get it in one of the spray booths at work to do it all at once.
Looking lovely!
The girlfriend even helped out tinting the fogs, for me to then rip it off two minutes later. Yellow fogs don't suite it!
My new toy turned up in the post today, will start rolling the rears this week, possibly Wednesday.
That's it for the moment apart from fixing a faulty drivers window and adding new M tech mats. Stay tuned for more.
