Okay so first off- Hi. Im a long time lurker (4 years) and have always been into the auto restoration game, but mostly just cleaning up, restoring, and flipping foreign cars. Mostly Mercedes and BMW, but i had a triumph spitfire i fully restored, as well as an uber rare '90 audi s8 in pearlescent white. Finally roughly a year ago i tested the stance waters with Susan, my beloved '85 tubodiesel 300td sedan. The object of the car was to have a cheap beater that i could rat out, and things got out of hand. I fell madly in love. sold my florida benz and the aforementioned spitfire just to daily this 500 dollar wreck. Even got her name tattood on my back. My first tattoo. Yeah, that happened. I didnt care, she was my girl....until my buddy drove her to florida for a fully done up ruckus and totaled her. Oh well, life is about more than material things right? Lets get going with some pictures shall we?

My beloved Susan before she met her demise-
quick teaser- http://vimeo.com/52441611 @seandshoots

rear wheels were 15x10 with a 195/60 winter tire, same as front on 15x8.
Side exit straight pipe. Just pure ignorance at its best.
All of the really great photography in here was done by my boy @seandshoots Look him up, his stuff is crazy good, and a great guy.
Okay so lets get onto business- My new girl.
1990 325ic 147k miles bought off an old guy in Pawleys Island, SC (I live in Myrtle Beach), and he bought the car brand new in 1989 for him and his wife. He had this routine, every year on the first day of spring, he would get up early, take the cover off the e30, clean it, change the oil, and take his wife for a spin on the oceanfront. They would then drive it until labor day, and switch cars once again.
This past year his wife passed away, and he pushed himself to uncover the car and get underneath. He didnt even get to change the oil. He said emotionally it was too much for him, and it needed to go. He posted one craigslist ad with no pictures, and 3 hours later i was there. I drove the car, and all the important stuff was in good shape, except for the cracked front diving board bumper and the brakes were softer than.....well they were soft. We agreed upon a price, and i had planned to come back down the next day and pick her up. When i awoke the next morning, i was sent directly to the hospital with a severe stomach virus for four days. I paid out of pocket for what my insurance wouldnt cover, which automatically put a nix on my new e30 plans.
3 months pass and i had always wondered if that car was still sitting there, under a cover, untouched. I thought surely he had sold it by now as it has new paint, a new top, new sport seats, and a new exhaust. I had lost his number, so on a whim i just drove the hour and a half and sure enough. There it was.
I asked him "Why didnt you sell it"? He replied- "I dont care about the money i got for the vehicle, i care more about the owner who is going to take care of it, and i know you will treat this car as well as my wife and I did and not let it go to junk". Needless to say i bought the car the next day, and drove her home.
The man's late wife's name was Brenda, and i felt that name fit the car very well.
Heres what Brenda looked like the day she came home-

Crack free dash-

Since then ive been cleaning it up and making it a nice reliable daily.
Did all the necessary's, brakes, oil change, plugs all that.
1st thing i did was new odometer gears, wasnt too hard, just tedious. Every e30 every has a broken odo.
then i repainted the grills back to black as well as the fading windshield trim
new emblems, local guy traded me my weaves for his bottlecaps with new tires, whatever, new tires wins....
Found an is valence i had to search high and low for. Still need to fiberglass some parts and get it resprayed--

Now the good stuff. I knew i wanted to be static on a budget, so for now i went with raceland coils, and i know people **** on them, but its fine, this entire scene is based on individuality. And plus, id rather just spend the 400 and find out for myself rather than base my decisions on heresay and uneducated opinions. Plus, GC coils with shortened housings are going in next summer regardless, so i figure i can get 9 months of low out of them.
With the racelands in on bottlecaps-

Then i turned my attention to some wheel plans- i wanted to do something no one else has on an e30, so i hunted for a month or so until i stumbled upon these puppies in my backyard. The ad read "Porsche wheels. Fronts are more narrower than the back ones". Guy didnt own a porsche. I asked 0 questions. WOOO Porsche twists! Now do you get my title?

still wanted something unique, so i sanded them down.....

and painted them almond.,.,,

Ordered my adapters to make the final sizes
Front- 17x7 et 10 probably 195/40
Rear 17x8.5 et 15 probably 205/40
and did a quick mock up.....

and this is about where it stands. All of this has been done in like 2 months time, most of which this past week. Hopefully things move quickly and i can post daily. Glad to get going on this little gal.
