this morning I decided to get an early start and change my tranny fluid. some 80w90 gl4 dope did the trick. now my tranny feels a little better. but the smell of gear dope is pretty god awful

oldgear oil is the worst.. dont get it anywhere... you will NEVER get it out... hahaah

I am looking at new transmissions to get for the car. Possibly doing a 240sx tranny swap for the car. or if anyone has a 280zx tranny that is in good shape, I will take it off your hands

alright, update. been doing a lot of searching and i have a 240 transmission that i will be machining to make fit my car. I cannot wait to get this going

Got my new oil psi gauge in one of the stock locations. figured I would go mechanical since the stock senders are garbage. anyways found my psi looked a little low so I got to investigating. the old fram that had been on it was causing this!!! I know fram is bad, but the filter was on the car when I got it. replaced the filter and VOILA!!!! fixed! anyways, I think the gauge looks good in it's place.

I never buy them! EVER. I figured it would be ok till a change in a week or so since the oil was new when i got it and was already on there. but NO. I will screw a 2 liter bottle full of toilet paper on my car before using a fram

alright, so I got my new tranny. started pulling my old one after work last night and worked all day today getting the new one in. and after some really awesome putting a tranny in by myself action, Its in. lol anyways. pics.

Yep! Heard lots of the same stuff/seen it happen on an engine dyno.


That fame patch thing makes me nervous.
