The red stripe looks great, the fact that it's on the outside of the lip is very unique, I envision it almost disappears from the side and appears as you change your perspective/move around. Once again you've accomplished a very unique look, kudos! This car makes me want to get my Pontiac 6000LE out of storage and give it some stance!

That looks much better than the white lettering and it looks much better than I would have though=)

ok, so here's my happy medium.

Decided to run a 1/4" red stripe on the outer bead of the rim, to get the feeling of a red line tire, without having to paint the tires. It continues on the whole subtle thing, which i'm cool with.

I'll get some better shots in the daylight tomorrow morning.

I love seeing uncommon cars on here, especially with the level of detail you're putting into it. Amazing! Also, I do enjoy big fuckin' redneck trucks, so nice RAM.

As much as the time attack coloring is 'played' a red stripe on the rim might work depending on where you place it.

Red would match the interior too. Which I somehow never noticed was red.
I was thinking more on the tire than the rim. Like the old muscle cars used to run

I love it, my Grandfather had a Dodge Omni when I was a kid and he bought it new in 82'. But to contribute to your question about the lettering, I think the white would look great, adds to the the clearly 80's vibe coming from this thing!

It's not only red, it's red corduroy! No one has really noticed since it's been gutted out for the past few years, but it's all going in now as we speak.

And yeah, the more i stare at it, the less I find that the white has anything to do with anything else on the car... kinda outta place. I've run the red pinstripe on the bead.. could always do that again. I'll show ya what red looks like when i get home from work.

    White lettering?

So I did a quick mock up of what lettering on the tires would look like...

Need some thoughts, since I kinda dig it, but I'm still on the fence. I don't want to go the whole spray stencil route, since this car is all bout subtle details, and while the giant white stencil lettering looks good on the RWB cars, it's anything but subtle.. and this aint no RWB Porsche So the lettering would be quite a bit smaller, and might make for a cool detail.

Yay or nay on lettering them up?

Look on turbododge.com at the suspension forums, there's a lot of info there. If you intend to slam it, i wouldn't mention it, or you'll get more flaming than information. (They're a pretty conservative group) but after sifting through the suspension threads you should be able to put some info together that'll help.
