You can't use a custom alum/steel camber shim. Then, drill the holes out and add extended bolts?

It looks similar to this, but the Crown has a separate body and frame.
So there is only 1 arm that controls, camber, toe and caster. Most primitive of all IRS setups.

I fully slammed it to test out just how long this thing can go. I thought I would have much bigger issues with going low, but this car does it like a champ.
To make the 12s fit I'm looking at doing the following things:
Mildly flare the guards
Massage the tubs for clearance if required
Cut and modify the swing arms to accept demon camber
Reinforce shock mounts to accept coilovers
Remove the old spring mount off the swing arm
Possibly fit custom bump stops
Possibly notch the swing arms to clear rails
So I really don't want to do much guard work, as the idea is to have a pretty stock body allowing me to change to Kyusha Kai style similar to the photo of the 9s.
Most of the modifications will be done to the swing arms because that would allow me to easily change back to stock to clear defects, as they are very strict with chassis modifications over here, but the shock mounts modifications should be pretty subtle and not very noticeable.

its pre 90's, and generally cool, :P though its cool if you dont! I will keep digging, I will find one eventually that isnt worth and arm and a leg
EDIT: Also, so down for sharknose; will be magnitudes of cool. WHEN this is finished, im so roadtripping from brisbane just to be in its presence.

I need at least 1 sensible daily car that can tow a car trailer to the track.
Not that I've never looked at coilovers/bags and 19s for it....

Gathered up some motivation today to work on the car and thought I have to slam this bitch...
Took out the shocks and tried to push the arms down hoping the spring would fall out, but no luck...
No spring compressors at hand and ragin hard, coz I tried leveraging and etc to try to get them out with no luck.
Was pacing back and forth in the garage trying to figure something out and spotted some tie-down straps.
DIY spring compressors
Still took a fair bit of effort to get the fuckers out.
Proceeded to remove the other side and unbolt the bump stops.
Chucked one 15x12 -75 on the left and a 15x9 -15 on the right, so I could be test fitting both at the same time.
Lowered the car onto some blocks of wood and realised that the car was actually sitting on the jack handle and I can't pull the jack out... And neither can I move the handle to jack it back up...
And I have no other jack anywhere other than possibly a scissor jack....
Lucky enough I got one of the bigger stumps of firewood blocks and jammed a 2x4 under the car standing on the other end using it as a lever to get some weight off the jack.
That gave me enough to start making tiny movements with the jack handle trying to pump it back up. Actually managed to get the car back in the air and had to add some bigger wood blocks under the wheels for test fitting.
Apparently 15x9 -15 are perfect fitment on stock as fuck guards.
Amazing fitment coinscidence
The 15x12 on the other side had a bit more low as the wood blocks were higher and most of the weight was resting on that side.
The resulting low is the spring mount of the swing arm touching the spring mount on the chassis and what seemed like the swing arm touching the chassis rail as well.
But everything else seemed to have cleared fine, even the swaybar.
Easy 9cm of poke
After double checking everything a few time to find if there are any other areas that will need modification to make these wheels fit, I chucked the bump stops back in and put her on stockies to drive her back in the garage.
I'll need to investigate the front fitment next time. So stay tunned

I really don't want them becoming just a "stance" thing, so unless the car you plan to mount one on meets such criteria, I can not reveal my sources.
