So today I was pondering the Grille dilemma...
The damn thing won't fit, and I can't modify it to fit either.
The only way it would fit, is to swap over to the complete JDM front end including the lights and guards.

This would be quite an expensive exercise as those things are not available locally and I would need to import everything from Japan.

So I came to the conclusion that I will need to alter my concept design and sticking with the bland stock Aus spec Crown front end just wouldn't do...

I will be using some bits off my spare parts car to build a Shark Nose

Underspoilers; where and how much are you getting one? Would be much appreciated if you could point me in the direction of one!

The underspoiler is something that should only ever be used on the pre-90s cars that are slammed on the ground.

I really don't want them becoming just a "stance" thing, so unless the car you plan to mount one on meets such criteria, I can not reveal my sources.

Fucking grille doesn't fit coz there is a minor difference between the headlights of different spec Crowns.

UPDATE: There is no update I lied....

God is working against me.. he really doesn't want this car slammed....

It is fucking cold, windy and raining today, the day that I was meant to slam the fuck out of it...
I have to work on the Crown outside coz it is too long to work on it in the garage.

So I had to cancel the Crown Slam-Fest and re-schedule for next weekend.

I did however make some progress in tracking down spare parts.

A mate of mine used to live next to a guy who had a Crown sitting in his backyard. So he asked if we could have it and the guy said yes.

So now I need to pick it up and strip it off all useful parts and scrap the shell.

Roman, I'm deeply concerned for your selection of wheels you'll be using on your vehicle. Based on my research, you will not be able to safely fit anything wider than a 6" wheel on your car, otherwise you run the risk of poor alignment specs that will prematurely wear out your tires. Might I suggest a nice set of Konig Afterburners or ASA Sport wheels? A nice set of hub caps would look great too.




But seriously, keep it up. We're all pumped to see the madness unfold.

Not sure, it takes a lot of time to make something like that as it is TIG welded by hand, so he would probably want a fair amount of money for the work involved.

I imported this grille from japan and they are not cheap thats for sure. Some go for as high as $400-600.
