  • '94 AC Schnitzer 540i

After having a few Jap cars (180sx, FC RX7 & JZX100) I eventually saw the light and bought a BMW. I got an E36 328i and had some style 40's for it. I liked it but didn't love it so I sold it a few months ago and picked up this 540i. I had never realized the difference in quality and 'feel' between 3 & 5 series but they are miles apart. Everything feels more solid, rigid, comfortable and of course faster.

Plans for it are tracking down some 18" AC Type II's or M-Pars and lowering it. Any other suggestions on wheels that look good on E34's?

One question though, the car just came back from having a few bits touched up and now I'm getting tail lights, licence plate light and brake lights pop up on the check panel. All of these work though. Is there some wiring/sensors I should be checking? Common problem? Get's annoying as it takes up all the screen and can't display time/range info.

Wow!!!! i love e34s and i love ac schnizer so this gets a big thumbs up. right now i've got a e36 328i m-sport and a 528i e39 and i fully agree the 5s are in another league. I've been debating on getting a v8 5 as a stanced family carrier but cant decide if i should get another e39 or a 34. Looking at yours im kinda leaning toward the 34. Anyway nice work man i cant wait to see what you've got planned

Oh and m parallels look sweet on 34s the only other wheel that would seriously tempt me is the ac schniter type 3 racing. if you color coded the centers and ran polished lips then lowered it in my opinion it would look perfect

I've actually got these Type 3's that a buddy is borrowing for his E39.
