So I figured I would start a thread on my daily. Had it for about a month now. Got it for $1,000 so I can't complain. It's got the 3 speed manual on the floor, 350 5.7 V8. Actually moves out pretty decent.

I have been into this whole plastidipping thing as its cheap and easy way to change the paint/exterior so I decided to try out my first time on this truck. Mixed in 50g of orange pearl flake into the flat black and came out like this. Almost a copper color.

    Started like this:

    Ended like this:

The 2nd and 3rd picture are the day after, there were lots of water spots that you can kind of see

Front springs are cut and they redneck lowered the rear before I got it, plan to try and level it out in the rear.

For the interior it's already got an aftermarket dash tach (Woo!) and plan to put some sort of stereo in it as it has none at the moment. Going to give the bench seat the mexican blanket treatment (Same one that was in my plymouth fury if you remember it)

And also maybe change the color up some more, this will be my test vehicle for dipping cars as I'm trying to start it on the side for money.

You can buy the whole kit from Dipyourcar for around 400$ I think, but I bought each part seperately and got way more for my money.

I got the gun from amazon on sale for I think $80, then from awarehouseful bought 6 gallons unthinned for 300$ which after thinning makes 12 gallons ( dipyourcar gives you pre-thinned gallons).

Then I got a bunch of pearls, flakes and pigments from paintwithpearl.com

scweet14; I've already tried... Dipyourcar.com doesn't sell kits to California... --- "Sales and usage of “Rubber Dip" and "Rubber Dip Spray" gallon size products are not complaint with Federal Regulations in the state of California."--- So im guessing you'd have to order everything individually or have a family member ship it to you...

But paint looks great for under 400$ Wanted to spray my brothers subie outback with this and hopefully will still go through with it, seems like your going to be making decent bills op!

Thanks after the initial hit for the gun and other supplies, it's only about 120$ per vehicle after that which isn't so bad. Then I just charge by the hour.
