Today, the engine was disassembled almost all the way. Got it down to everything other than the crank, timing chain, pistons, rods, and cam. Gonna do those tomorrow when I get a pulley puller. Lots of hard work today, I thank god for air tools.

Engine plans are new intake manifold, .030 bored over, flat top pistons, a new cam, headers and exhaust

Today, I was able to pull the engine. I started by removing all the bolts holding the engine to the bellhousing. I removed the motor mounts with the help of an impact wrench. I cut off the exhaust right below the manifold. I removed the carb to make way for a chain, removed the power steering pump, and chained up. The motor came out with little to no fighting, other than the torque converter was still bolted to the flexplate.

The difficulties today were the gunked up bolts and the lack of help all day. This is my first time pulling an engine, and I did it with little to no help and didnt fuck anything up. I can say it was a good day.
