Hi guys. For now, basically going to copy over my new members post because it has all the updated info. Just joined the site, just got the car. Havent done much to it, but today the first part came in the mail so..the build has officially started haha.

Over the weekend I pulled the trigger on this beautiful machine. Outside she's great. Inside the trimmings need some attending to and replacement and whatnot, but It's becoming a fun project. Already started gluing the door cards back together and getting it all tightened up. Gonna be doing bags at some point. Gotta get some lift space and see what I'm going to need to fab up for brackets and whatnot. Until then, its just addressing the interior and motor. Runs great actually, but I keep waiting for catastrophic failure
    anyway, on to the pics.

this is me addressing why the windows wouldnt roll up.

aaaaaand new part in the mail today!

now I can roll the windows up on their own switches lol. Had the driver/passenger slaved off one switch for the fronts and the rears were static up.

Might be able to address the ride height by the end of the month. Im thinking of cut springs until I can get my air ride pieced together. Taking inspiration from "aLaFleur", "lewda", "Zman86" of course and "bobbyjones". I will try not to bite too hard on styles and such, but I gotta say as a previous VW guy and a MKII lover...I will be doing the crosshair e-codes with HID's, bobbyjones...sorry.

    --------------7/25-----

She left me stranded for the first time last night lol. Prob wont be the last, until I get all the preventative stuff done. Was driving in rush hour traffic and temps started skyrocketing. Managed to get off the highway. She did overheat/steam out though. Hoping the heads arent warped/gasket blown. Some sort of coolant line sprung a leak:

also ordered a new rear window switch today so once that goes in, all my windows will work without fiddling and swapping rear switches haha

Thanks guys, D&W, Ive replied to other threads but yes lets do that. I'd love to see your car and pick your brain lol.

I too love the interior color against the green. Feels like Im getting into a baseball glove every day haha! It def needs some love on the inside but mostly just plastics. The leather isnt torn or ripped, just have to piece together the center console/HVAC controls and replace the dash lights. They work, but very dim. Maybe some LED's...idk. For now I need a windshield and tires. Those are the next 2 immediate priorities.

Not much progress yet still. Got all the switches in so all the windows roll up and down now which is nice since my A/C condenser is in an unknown condition and not hooked up right now. The back of the center console is spaghetti with wiring. I need to take it all apart and really figure out what is what back there. Im just rubbish with electronics so Im a little apprehensive. Also had to replace some belts to the tune of $250. Thats all the progess so far! Just trying to get her reliable and then I can start spending money on mods! haha
