A Poor Man Builds a 240sx

This is my Project car! Started in 2011.

Picked up a rust free 1990 Nissan 240sx Sohc runs great only 110,000 miles body has seen better days. I plan to race the car we have a lot of Autocross events in my area, I plan to make it to a few drift events in the future. Car came with A nice Cusco three point rear tie brace and 32mm sway bars lowing springs and a ricer fart can.Someone has painted it blue and did a really shady job going to be fixing that in the future.

BTW Im way behind on a Project Log so i gotta play some catch up!!!



Ended up picking up a set of Tenzo dc6 18'' rims not great for snow lol

Took the car to a local Autocross event they run this series year round so snow and summer its very cool.
My car is seriously under powered but it was a very fun event.

want to start modding out my car so i pulled the diff out to get welded and bought a set of Tein flex coilovers-




Took the car out to play in the snow

Took the car out to another Autocross event there was snow this time it was a blast. The coils helped stabilize the car a ton, Its a lot lower now can you say snowplow.

Drove the car all winter I love RWD in the snow car ran great never gave me any issues. Got sick of the crappy blue paint job someone did all the clear is peeling off and its looking rough. Took the car to my dads shop start working on the body get it all one color at least.

Its just black primer sealer but it looks so much better already im planning on ordering 50mm over fenders for the back give it a little wider stance.

Please no matt black. Everyone paints their rustbucket matt black. Nice progress on the rest.

Looks like fun, I wish we had autox events in random parking lots like that. Normally in so cal it is either on an airforce base, raceway, or stadium.

I would have spent the extra couple hours and shot a base coat over it and cleared it. Especially if your winter driving it. Go pick up a rusty one to winter drive. Mine was mint rust free and in 3 years it rotted.
