You can easily exchange the B18 engine for a B2XX (b230ft?) from a 240 series.

in a 240 serie they are mounted in an angle. If you put it straight you could even use your old bellhousing. You only need the oilpan of the b18 and an oilpump of the b20. And you should fabricate (or buy) custom engine mounts.

People have definitely done v8 swaps on these, and I bet they sound awesome and are fun to drive. Im going to stick with the stock motor for a while unless I can find the slightly larger bolt in 2 liter for cheap. I will be doing new exhaust very soon though.

Good man for staying correct on it haha, I'm keeping my M10 in the 2002 for that very reason, love when you see under the hoods of older german cars and see that the guys stuck with what was period correct on them.

CONGRATS!!!! This is much deserved and the fact that it only took a year is a huge accomplishment. you truly put a lot of time, thought and effort into this car and it shows.
An impressive build that pushed me to continue to pursue my dreams of owning an amazon.
I only hope my BMW wagon build is half as well received as your classic volvo.
One of the things i like most about the build is how humble and gracious you have been throughout it. Responding to every comment and providing as much info and photos as possible.

I had a little moment of joy when I opend stanceworks this evening, a full feature on one of my favorite cars on the forum. Big congratz dude, you are a big inspiration and you made me wanna buy an Amazon as a first car haha.

Brilliant! This Amazon is one of the best looking ones i've ever seen, and we have a bunch of 'em here in sweden in all different styles! Love the paintjob! Wish i could get my '65 a fresh paintjob but i'll go with the old "worn out-look" for now, haha.
