Me too, going to make it as perfect as I can but parts are limited.

Cheers! It will be a long haul but definitely worth it.

Lol the whole rear quarter panel is completely gone...

Somehow I happened to stumble upon an ebay listing for the correct quarter panel which makes this project a lot easier for me!

So I bought it for £179.99 delivered, not too bad for a near impossible part to get!

Crap phone picture but you get the idea..

It's nowhere near as rusty as it looks, actually a completely solid panel.

Definitely clean the engine up, won't rebuild it if I don't have to but I'll tune it up a bit
Interior is flawless so it will stay original

If I'm not mistaken the only thing they changed on the US-spec cars were the headlight of the MK1 99, that is probably because of some sort of law. For example the old volvo 240 and 740 models had separated lights on the US-spec as well.

I dont think the grille is changed on the US-spec cars but there is two different ones here in Sweden, the normal and the turbo version. Altough I am no Saab expert so dont quote me on that.

Anyways, I am super exited to see where this is going. Been thinking of grabbing a black 99 turbo but they are stupidly hard to come by in decent condition.
Good luck with the build, I will be stalking your progress. Now restore that son of a bitch!
