So this weekend was one of the more productive ones.

Did some interior bits and pieces led's all around.

and those pesky perches came out. The rear is looking sooooo much better.

I had to raise the front again as i couldnt stand driving around looking out for every pebble on the road.

    Also did some weight reduction.

This forum has revived my passion for vehicle modification so to that gentlemen i thank you! There are a lot of amazing looking cars on this site and the motivation i get from being on here is incredible.

The color plus the wheels work really well together! Shame the BC's don't go low.

Trust me man i **** the fact that i spent so much cash on these and im having to do so much to get it lower. BC reps are sharks haha.

I wish airide was a option here is SA but unfortunately its just so F*%King pricey. For a set you are looking at around R25 000. pretty crazy.

Yeah im in the process of getting some spacers. But being in South Africa everything has to be imported here and the rand to dollar rate doesnt help at all i think its around R12 = $1 .

So i installed the HID's in my fog light projectors. at night i only use them as they are more than bright enough and they look pretty sweet IMO.

So i know this isnt a huge progress report or anything but i got something that i have spent AGES looking for and something that is very rare to find here is SA.

Planning on refurbishing it and making it match the rest of the CRUBBY CREAM in the car.

Interior insperation needed so if you have any suggestions or comments please leave them here

It bothers me so much that some people can go so much lower than me without all the rubbing issues I'm having with these cars.

                          What issues are you having?

                          ARB rubbing or chassis rubbing?

My Drive shaft and my chassis are rubbing wherever i go. For some reason i dont seem to have an issue with my Anti roll bar. But if you are low most guys just remove the ARB as it doesnt matter much when you are that low.

So... Its been a while now. But i am pleased to report that i have made progress. I did some things, and broke some stuff.

                              First things first.

I did the dual rear fog light which i am super stoked on! Now that i have taken out the rear park bulbs its rolling like this.

Then with my brakes engaged it looks a little something like this.

The mod took about 40 seconds and could not of been any easier. There was even a factory fitted bulb. So all in all the mod didnt cost a cent.
Had some spare wire in the garage and that was that.

                              Also got an exhaust fitted.

First was to remove this silly little thing.

Then i wanted something a little louder so this happened.

Overall I am pretty pleased with the outcome.

I wanted something a little sporty sounding without it being annoying on the highway. It has a really nice LOW tone and at high revs i get some backfire which s a plus,

                                So... Here we are again.

First of all here are some pics of my car next to a edition 35 that my girlfriends mom owns. i absolutely love this car. By far the best interior i have even seen in a car.

Recently ran into my first big issue with the golf.

I was coming down a super rad road here in cape town called Ladies mile. I wasn't going crazy speeds but with my new exhaust i will admit that it quite exuberant,
I got to a set of lights and after they turned green i pulled off and snap/crackled and popped my inner CV on the gearbox side (Our passenger side). This was at around 12 in the evening in a quite dodgy area.
After getting towed i got it home (swearing like a mad man), i attempted to look and see the damage but it was too dark and i found it quite hard seeing through red! . The following day i got towed to my old mans place to start the repair.

This is what we were greeted with...

Basically the Continuous velocity joint must of been on its last legs and gave way. This little fault as seen in the picture below cased all the carnage.

So that day we replaced the inner that went and now i have this strange vibration/studder when turning right.

I did some reaserch and there are tons of guys that say it could be bearings.

Really need some advice on this one guys so ANY comments are welcome.

                                PEACE! :Y: B)
