Since yesterday was Wednesday my brother, dad, and I went to the guys group. Lou had his Lamborghini Islero (1 of only 150 or 200) He did a full restoration and it isn't his prettiest car either, damn gorgeous though. He has an Alfa Ghia and an Abarth (only 20 ever made) It placed third in Pebble Beach I believe.

Also snapped a shot of Garys mock up of a C/D cover of his TR-3.

    Iphone so *quality*

So I had a friend over to help because he also is sorta a car nut as well and we went to town for two days and completed taking apart the engine..... Next up is media blasting it.
Here are some pictures of it.
This bitch was annoying to get out... Balance shafts and covers came off easy (on the car we took the upper B-shaft off and one of the bolts snapped on the cover..... not a fun day so this was a cake walk comparatively)
Cam tower wasn't too bad, forgot to take a picture of the cam shaft, very pretty Also speaking of cam shafts you should all watch the Koenigsegg video about cam-less engines, good watch. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bch5B23_pu0"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bch5B23_pu0[/ame]

Got about 40 more pictures to upload still.... Enjoy.

The head and cam look great, as well as the waterpump. The pistons seem to be in good shape, Eventually we will have the block inspected and maybe milled out. Who knows.

This was a bitch to get off....We ended up taking off the oil pan to get it off because the gasket for the oil pan holds it in place.
You can see that the car bottomed out really hard, has some repair on it. We will either get a new pan or weld it up again.
Big thanks to Throw (right) and my dad who is taking the photo for their help. Projects are supposed to be fun and it is so far.

I like what you have going here, always had a soft spot for 944's. Please learn to stack your images vertically instead of horizontally though, I don't have the energy to scroll sideways.

They are vertical on my page? Would there be a profile setting or anything?

Ok, got the 944 licensed and drove it around, problems....
Air bubble in the coolant lines:fixed
                    Alternator belt loose:fixed
And the big problem.....seal on the engine keeping oil off the flywheel is not holding....gotta pull the engine and replace it.... have the part but it'll be a day long job.

Update on other engine.... cleaning parts with Gary's media blaster. Pictures coming soon.

Not much has happened lately with college starting soon and us selling our R32. No time for this and I have been searching for a cheap DD while I'm at school. Ill update once the engine is pulled and we decide if we will replace the seal and drop it back in or if we want to do the full engine swap.

No, born and raised here. I go to SIUE and live here over the summer. No rent at the parents house.
