Every car you have owned and posted here has been done really nicely, doesn't seem this car will be an exception pumped for updates.

Another SMALL update. Fixed the no bumper, exaggerated shark nose, too many holes, etc front end a little more.

Fabbed up a duckbill. Came out decently well considering the amount of dents in the lower portion of the bumper.

At least it gives it a proper look now.

MK1 GTI lip!? Looks really good

Cool car and i'm super excited about the carbs! The engine will have a sound to die for once they're on.

As for the front end: i like the bumperless look but i'd shave all unnecessary holes and respray it.

Yep you got it. Had a couple laying around and figured since they are hard to come by, I could trim one to fit the e28.

The carb set up will be retarded sweet... If I commit. Ill probably commit.

Id like to shave all of the holes etc, but that would be done way down the road. I have way too many small things in line first, but one day hopefully haha.

              Thanks!

                  4055lbs gross weight

e28's are lighter than e36's and the new z4's actually. That's almost a bit sad if you think of it

245 hp sounds about right to me, but then again i know a lot more about making power with turbos in an m30 than i do about NA, turbos seem to be all the rage these days... Speaking of which, why didn't you go turbo? Trying recreate the driving experience of an m5? That's pretty cool really, I wold almost rather have this for a daily than one with a turbo just for the drive ability. Almost but not really, turbo m30s are nuts

                  P.S. those carbs are godly

Didnt go turbo for that exact reason. Wanted to build a period correct poor mans M5. And the results were spot on.

I get all giggly when I hear/drive/ride in turbos, but its just not for me. Ive always been a fan of well done NA builds.

I started reading this and thought it was going well, until you posted the carbs. Now it is going excellent! I can't wait to see that, it is something that I am thinking of doing for my own e28. I can only imagine what that will sound like.

P.S. Never sell an old Golf. Every single person I've spoken to who has had one and sold it has regretted it.
