Messed with the rears today after work. A small spacer and a little height adjustment and they will fit nicely for a while.
Also going to try to get the centers done this weekend. The fronts need a spacer to clear the shock so they will be off the car while spacers are on the way, height is adjusted, fenders rolled and pulled, etc...
But the outcome should be decent. 16x9 squared on 205/45 for those who care. Has some meat and stretched casually. Kind of like a bow tie with shorts.
I honestly have to admit i dont understand why you imported a set of Keskins. For financial reasons ok but they're knock offs. And i hope you're satisfied with the quality. I owned a set once and i'd never buy a Keskin wheel again.
I totally know they are knock offs. Im sayin... wheels, tires, shipping was less than the usual cost of 4 new tires.
I got them to paint, experiment with.
They quality is what it is. My wheel plans are going to take a while so i wanted something to fack with.

However, in usual suit for things ordered/shipped to me, This was the delivery......
Last time I checked.... I have four locations to put shiny crap on my car...
Three boxes just doesnt cut it for me.... Tracking says that three are still in Memphis, TN so maybe the other will arrive tmrw...
Either way I still needed to test fit, dial in the small spacers I need, roll the fenders and finish the centers the way I planned. So its not like these were going on the car tmrw. (even though that would be rad)
Not much going on here, but waiting for customs to release my packages...
I did however get the exhaust done on the car and it came out pretty nice. 2.5" from the resonator back. No muff. With the engine work and the lope, its pretty gnarly.... Had an elderly gentleman in a Porsche give me the "nod of approval"
I started reading this and thought it was going well, until you posted the carbs. Now it is going excellent! I can't wait to see that, it is something that I am thinking of doing for my own e28. I can only imagine what that will sound like.
P.S. Never sell an old Golf. Every single person I've spoken to who has had one and sold it has regretted it.
Totally agree. Ive sold two... never learned my lesson apparently. Its okay though... They will always make more... wait...
