  • 7th Gen EM2: The lost generation

Whats up guys my name is Pat and I finally became not lazy and decided to make a build thread. My car is a 2003 Civic and this is basically her story. It's not like anyone reads, they only look at pics lol.

I bought the car when I was 16, I was all hyped up and of course the first thing I did was throw some subs in there and black out the tail lights (blehh)

rode around like that for a while, and when I say a while I mean a good 2 years. Man, I thought I was the shit.

Eventually I went through the "Black it out" phase painted the Si wheels black tinted it real dark the whole 9 yards.

Also rode around like that for a while. Coming home from work March 23rd of last year while stopped at a red light smoking a cigarette minding my business, BOOM. I'm on the other side of the road. No idea what the fuck just happened, I get out my car and some lady in a brand new new Nissan Versa hit me going 40+MPH. Her excuse: "I'm sorry, I was texting my Mom, My parents just bought me this car yesterday." Thinking I was fine and thanking God I wasn't hurt my shoulder and neck start killing me. I get taken away in an Ambulance and didn't see my baby for a few days. Eventually got to a body shop, it was totaled. I told them to fix the car, so they did.

At this point I was content with my car it was fixed and around the time I turned 19 I started venturing (spelling?) out to car meets. Baffled and amazed by how low some cars were I decided that I wanted to lower my car. With little knowledge and not so much money this was put off for a while and I did my little Home Depot lip.

Got those PW:JDM fenders for a small price of $80 on Craigslist. Threw those on in the parking lot where I met up with the guy lol.

Some photos from my first little photoshoot. Shoutout to my friend Sabastian (Sabertooth) I know hes on here somewhere:

    Look at that wheel gap

Bought the "Badgeless" Grill for a cleaner look.

For a while I went to car meets, shows, everything. Gained a lot of knowledge through new friends. Everyone would mess with me saying my car was "4x4" or they'd ask "When did you buy a CR-V?" Every joke that was possible was made. I knew what I needed and how to do it. But my money wasn't right. I quit my job in October just before my birthday and decided to concentrate on school. A great opportunity came up and I began working as a plumber. The money was right, so I decided to go with Raceland Coilovers. I know, I know, cheap coilovers few friends tried to steer me away from them but I was so concentrated on saving as much money as possible I said "fuck it" and I ordered them. All my friends hangout in the parking lot at night to meet up, I wasn't there that night. Busy in a friends garage I was putting in work. I came out HARD. Everyone was shocked, but the jokes started up again. This time they said I needed wheels. Well, no shit I needed wheels. I got the stock Honda Fit wheels when I bought my Mom a Mint 02 Accord with 50,000 miles, they came with some ugly ricer wheels and I traded those off to a friend for his Fit wheels and he threw cash on top. But heres how she sat for a few weeks.

Bought me a BWR Camber kit and voila, SLAMMED

Rolling shot (fenders still need painting)

Girlfriend bought me an actual front lip

After talking about wheels for a few weeks I finally settled on a set. When I went to go buy them they didn't have them in stock. I told them to order them for me and they said I had to pay in full. I rejected that just because I'm not handing a store $1000 with no product in my hand. Few weeks pass by and went back to the store still didn't have the wheels I wanted but I found another set that they had there. I got a good price and on a whim I whipped out the cash and drove home (Packed out) with new wheels and tires.

I had that itch so I had to get them mounted and balanced right then. With every place closed I took a ride to Queens to a 24hr spot and then went home and put them kicks on.

Here are the most recent shots of my car, these are from sometime within the week.

    Friends EP3

Yesterday some asshole cut me off and I hit a sewer cap pretty hard. I heard something dragging so I drove it home looked under and it was the strap for my gas tank. Today I got the chance to cut it off. But for some odd reason a non familiar new scraping noise is happening and I need to figure out what it is.

I'll keep you guys posted, check back for more info if you are interested. More updates coming soon.

I think a little lower in the front and some spacers and you'll be golden man, other than that its coming along nicely.

The problem about going lower in the front is the pipe that comes from the cat. It scrapes on everything, I'm hoping on raising the rear a little bit to even out the front and that fixes my problem. Waiting on spacers, I need to roll my fenders first.

The scraping goes away after it "self clearance's" itself, lol. You could get the exhaust routed alittle higher then stock or get an oval pipe.

              Welcome to S/W.

Whats with the Password JDM fenders, what's different, sidemarkers? Also, the Em2 coupe was never sold in japan, so please stay away from the typical honda JDM crap.

Otherwise, save up and get some spacers and the stance will be golden.

The rear camber is a bit much compared to the front, also it's sunk and the back is flush so it looks kinda off. If that was sorted I feel I'd like this a lot more.

It's come a long way tho! Props for sticking with it after the accident and changing from what you had previously done to it

This is only because the fenders need rolling bad. At this moment I don't have the time to get the tool from this guy who rents it out. But as soon as I do, most of the camber is coming out and will sit way more flush to the car.

I think 16s are perfect for being low and filling wheel gap. Those specs should leave you perfectly flush

My initial plan is to raise the rear to see if it evens it out a little bit. Hopefully it will, because I'm not able to go much lower due to the fact of the exhaust pipe and the strap for the gas tank. I need to get my car on a lift when I have free time and figure out what I'm gonna do. I can't seem to figure out what size spacers to throw on there.
