This is the story of my Wife Courtney's, e28 (williswifie on IG)
I deal came up on a set of two e28s, both 535is with low miles. One had a smashed front end, and one had a bad Automatic transmission.

The original plan was to keep the Grey one, and swap the drivetrain and interior into it from the white one.
But I'm lazy. And fixing the white one seemed easier.
While Courtney cleaned the interior

I started dismantling the front end.

This is a good idea right?

YES IT WAS
Oh here's Zane

Courtney took the interior home to clean up and put leather things on I don't know

Back together, clean and everything works! Besides the driver seat being all holey.

And somewhere down the line we got a Nardi and adapter from Rennstall

The old rear parcel shelf was disgusting so Courtney and I recovered it in some Pendleton stuff.

Courtney got heatstroke peeling tint off, whocares.

Then she got to getting years of mildew off the car, it probably sat underwater for a century. And by that I mean lived it Portland all it's life.

And clean!

I didn't mess with any of that I was putting fenders on and straitening stuff.

While we were waiting for a driveline to arrive, some nice parts came in the mail
I make her do all the hard work

A wad of overnight(4 weeks) parts from Latvia and California!

At this point the driveline arrived as well and we drove it home from Zane's house where the car's were parked. Then I put the euro stuff on but somehow don't have pictures of any of this.

Bumper tucking

Retrofitting US turn signals into Euro spec housings.

The car had no exhaust, so I took the exhaust off the gray car and made a stop at Wyatt Lay's Daddy's garage.

Were he de-pinstriped it.

Old exhaust:

Wyatt's Daddy had a set of RC090s he sold us, and we got to refinishing them

He's a babe

I told you I make her do all the hard work

Purchased some better leather from a mye28 member, and spent about a day dismantling the seat.

Good
Then some nice things started happening

AIR
I made Wyatt do all the mounting in the trunk because he's been locked in his trunk for an hour and now has a chronic fear I'm trying to help him get over

Gauge holes, really professional.

After the management and line were ready we paid a visit to Terry at Old Skool VulcanWerks
He specializes in custom metal fab work and getting cars underground and is incredible smart.

Took the old struts out.
Whoa

Top hats

Terry and his plasma

Rear top hats had to be trimmed to clear the air fitting

Cutting the rear lower strut mounts off the original struts

Paint everything halfassed:

Now paint.
