I plastidipped my car, because I could do it on the cheap as well. I just used the spray cans instead of their kit. You can paint a car for $300 easily with real paint if you already have the gear (spray gun etc.). While I am very happy with how my car turn out, it is very smooth and was easy as hell to spray (I have sprayed cars with paint though before) this is way easier. I wanted a matte finish. I'm very leary about their gloss finish. I purchased a clear in the can and it turned out pretty shitty. I'd use regular clear but who knows...???
In the pictures of their clearcoated cars I've seen I have not been impressed. The only real upside to this is you can peal it if you don't like it. Good luck!
Oh I forgot to mention I did mine under $100 for everything.

Sanded down, 3 layers of bondo and a lot of smooth sanding and the body work is complete!
I don't want to spend a lot of money on painting the car so I'm going to plastidip it Candy apple red -Plasti dip now has a clear coat to give it a glossy finish, we'll see how this turns out-I'm gonna purchase the paint, thinner, and clear coat and I have access to a spray gun and an oven for only $20 an hour! If it turns out bad, I can always peel it off and paint it black or something…we'll see.

Called around about getting my hubs re drilled and no shops so far are down to do it.
I've got a lot of places I haven't called yet though! My car is back at the garage being
worked on, doing some more medal work at this point because I'm not satisfied quite yet.
Since you're all so eagerly waiting, you can watch my latest edit to

I wondered a good while if I should get the hub redrill or find som 4x140 rims, the I found some 14" 505 Gti rims at a man a buddy of mine bought a car from. It's safe to say they went home with me
They look good on the car, but you should see if you can score some 15". They would look tits.
Here are some pictures if you dont mind, I remove them if you do
As for the "bmw conversion"... Ehh, I kinda like the boxy subaru front. But hey, its your car and you do what you want.

This is without a doubt, the most ridiculous build thread on SW. And I can't stop checking for updates.

Fresh out the car wash.
75% complete needs bumper tuck. Fender and hood sanded down,
more bondo/fiberglass and then sand again and finally paint and a BMW badge in front
