there is one of 2 things i would do to make this car look awesome
    1. get bigger wheels - which is not an option as i see you are investing in those you already have
    2. remove the front bumper and replace it with a normal facelift one
The M front bumper is too sporty for the overall look of the car, it's like wearing a classy suit with running shoes and seems a bit off, at least to me.
The car look great as is, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't seem complete somehow

Not sure of the offset, but the wheels are the ones that came on the car, i have the rears spaced out 35mm..anyways thanks!

I totally agree the car would look good that way, i see what you mean about the bumper..my stock one was trashed and to my knowledge they do not make aftermarket facelift ones..either way i personally love the M5 look..but I agree it would look great with the 2002 and up ones...
As for the wheels..I love the look of smaller wheels..i dont plan on going larger than 17's..although i agree 18's would look great aswell..thus giving me more ground clearance..

Also..you couldn't be more right..the car is far from being complete..time will change that

          Update 6/17/13

Went to good old Home Depot today and picked up ten wood slabs and some wood stain

Gonna make a custom roof rack

I layed the slabs down in the parking lot to give an idea of what it will look like

          And the stain of choice..

Next season when cash flow is better i may step the game up..

haha i love that roof rack! the wood stain is the perfect shade!

wheels do look a bit on the small side, have you thought of spacing the fronts out a bit? may make them look bigger

i know the facelift skipped the US, but the style you're going for would really benefit from a bumper replacement. the small wheels sort of make sense with the roof rack

                              I drive a facelift us e39 haha.

They only changed the (front) bumper for non m e39's with the facelift. The m5 bumper which he has is the same for all years.

Unless your are talking about the black plastic rub strips.
IMHO they dont look that bad on a white car with facelift lighting. It does date the car tho.

Agreed the facelift bumper would look good..but I plan on going full M5 with the car, bumpers, mirrors, interior, ect....a different bumper would take me in a direction opposite of where im going

Well not FULL M5...but m5 cosmetics
