  • THE Eip VR6 Corrado

Decided to do a build thread on my eip car. A little back history on the car. It was originally built in 94 by EIP as a 2.9 clone and then again in 04 by eip as the 3.0 monster that it is today. 3.0 forged and coated block with roughly 20k on the internals and a brand new head. only 135 miles on it.

hoping to get somewhere in this range eventually. Right now, If i keep the car, I am hoping either for a low pressure turbo system and a tune to start off with (high comp motor) or supercharger running around 7 psi, and then hopefully building up the engine on megasquirt, or some other fuel management. This car will be purely function>form.

Very Nice!! I've never owned a VW but I've always been a fan of the corrado. I see that you're in west GA, I have family in carrolton/breman/buchanan.

So many thoughts on the car keep coming to mind. I am trying to source parts for my own home made turbo setup. I have access to some pretty awesome fab machines and welding equipment. I can't wait to get this thing started. Hoping for possibly a rear mount turbo setup. The engine produces endless torque, so the boost lag wouldn't too much affect the low end power, but would really spice up the mid range and top end. I mean, the car is stupid fast now (pulls harder than the evo powered eclipse i had, and harder than my buddies stage 2 gti). Let me know what y'all think.

I'm thinking about doing a setup similar to this one. I want to have a short runner intake. Would make my life 100x easier

Ok, running into issues. I have a small electrical drain that has just popped up, and i know it isn't my ignition switch. Already tested that. It drains from 12.1 or 12.2 volts down to 11 or 11.1 volts overnight. I intend on dragging out the multimeter on this one. It charges fine at 13.4 or 13.5 volts, but this is confusing me a little, as it didn't develop this issue until just recently
