  • Four door drift toy

Hi, my names Josh and I am from New Zealand, i have currently drive a A31 Nissan Cefiro.
I recently bought my cefiro and it looked like this

    cef old 2.jpg

the next day I put on my wheels, which are super advans 16x7 for front and 16x8 for rear, 15mm spacers all round aswell. Then lowered the rear coil overs as low as they go but had trouble with the front, so they have stayed as i got them.
    It now looks like this

the car came with a RB20det and manual gearbox which will be going in soon, i just have a few parts to get to complete conversion
shot of me and my dad unloading the other motor

as you can see the body is a little bit rough as it was in the process of having the paint stripped when i got it, not sure but kind of like the sanded back look, but will probably end up having it repainted

would love to hear thoughts or any idea you guys might have.

No major updates as after giving the motor a service i started daily driving it, but unfortunately the current motor was unhappy about this and overheated among other problems, I am now currently gathering parts to complete my manual turbo conversion, updates and pictures will follow when this happens

        BIG UPDATE

Started converting the Cefiro to manual turbo

got started on pulling out old motor, managed to take some pictures along the way

this is with everything disconnected of the motor ready to come out, so we called it a night.

the next day i came home from lunch and started up

        Sucess
then i had to go back to work

        ]

The old motor and auto trans. going to scrap dealers to fund flat beers.

        My flatmate is super mature

just one of my tire/wheel stacks around the house

new motor RB20det, suspect has has rebuild before i got it.

my TO DO list for tomorrow

              Day two of conversion.
Had a big day, got the motor in, clutch, flywheel and gearbox in and bolted up. after a couple of hours of lying on the ground got the drive shaft in. got radiator in and connected. got dump pipe on. got clutch pedal and clutch master cylinder in. on the home stretch now.

Giving the gearbox a clean, found its been rebuilt using a rb30e bell housing and rb20det internals and rear housing.

all cleaned up and given a quick coat of paint
              in the background is this

this is my current daily, a 1988 mitsi mirage cyborg R
4wd turbo and the only sedan cyborg I have ever seen.

engine and gearbox bolted together, ready to go in,

gave the engine a qick spray in black to tidy it up. it came up pretty bad but still nicer than before

              ]

my flatmate doing the hard jobs like pushing the engine crane

              in and bolted in place

this was our biggest problem, after removing the auto driveshaft and installing the manual one we found that it was to short so we had to pull it out and spilt them, using auto rear half and manual front.

my nice 3 inch dump pipe

tomorrow just have to hook up all the wires, put oil and water in the motor, modify the fuel lines hook up a intercooler and A.F.M and all systems shoud be a go/

well got back to working on it today. got fuel lines hooked up, intercooler piping done, had to just loop it from turbo to intake as couldn't get piping to sit proper with intercooler, got intake on, got all injectors, and coils etc plugged in. flatmate made a cam angle sensor out of a plug from the old motor ( because we/he can), hooked up battery and looped the wires that tricks the car into thinking its in park ( because it was auto ) then turned the key and it cranked, so we hi fived. then spend 2 hours trying to sort the wiring from the engine loom side to dash loom including fuel pump. then because we didn't want to screw it all up we gave up, so i have a guy coming to sort this out this week.

once the car is running i plan to get it warranted and registered. then find, buy or build it some new wheels
