Blake Olsen's s13 Coupe Drift Build *Not as cool as my FC, but also with a v8* !
So yesterday I made all the parts for my front bash bar, starting with a 1 1/2" chromoly main upper bar. My idea is to make this part strong but all the supporting bars weak so if I hit something no frame damage should be inflicted.
Rear bar is pretty much straightened out, will have an inner sleeve as well, along with a 16" piece of angle welded to the bottom to tie it all together. This will also be a good place to later build a jack point off of.
hope i can see it after i get off work today at vegas pro am! :3
I saw you puss <3
So i havent been on in a couple days because I was scrambling to get the car finished for my event that happened yesterday. But lets start from where I left off!
Thursday:
I cut my front lug nuts down on the lathe so they wouldnt hit the back of the wheel anymore for my bolt on spacers. Took off just over 1/8".
I didnt get any pics during this time because I was working straight through.
The rest of the day I was working on the car , diligently knocking things out on the checklist. Well this went all the way till 6 A.M.; 2.5 hrs. before tech inspection. I came in, slept for 50 minutes, then loaded up the truck and car on the trailer.
Once the car was loaded, we welded a new tip on it so it wouldn't burn my rear bumper lol
My second qualifying run. Went a little too hard since my first run was solid anf wanted to throw something gnarly. I was backwards, but hit the inner clip and dipped a front tire so it was a zero.
Overall I had a ton of fun and am really pleased with how the car worked! No issues really, just a few cracks in aero and bent my exhaust from a couple dirtdrops
