Got the headlight close to lined up right. Gonna get a new hood and see where it is after that, the hood is alot more warped than I noticed at first. And got my fender ordered and shipping tomorrow!
Also had a friend offer to plastidip it cheaply so I may do that so the whole car matches in color while I save for a real paint job. Anyone have any opinions on plastidipping a whole car?

Well here's where I'm at right now.
sitting in the driveway, ended up getting that headlight to line up preeeeetttyyy close, I think the rest is because of the hood warpage. I didn't realize how badly it really was warped until I had the headlight mounted correctly. New fender is en route to my house and should be here by monday the 3rd.
Also having some conflict deciding how to do my paint. I want a gray and teal scheme. But I can't decide if I want to do matte gray body with glossy teal wheels, matte gray body and matte wheels, glossy body with matte wheels, etc.. I want to be different but not to the point I'm scaring people with the car.
(ignore any bad photos, I'm trying to learn the Canon DSLR my mom handed down to me lol)

New fender arrived today!!
Going to try to find the time to get this put on and get the much needed oil change out of the way. Looking forward to making a coolant overflow and getting the new hood

So got my new fender in and waited for a day off to start the tear down. Called a buddy and the work began. First we tore it apart to line up everything fresh.
I call it "Frankenyata"
Got it all apart and started bolting my fender on. While putting a bolt in on the bottom of the fender I realised something. the deer broke off one of the bolts down there. "oh well I'll get it drilled and tapped whenever I get it painted." putting in the other bolt to hold it on, that one snapped in half. Tried to drill and tap it and FAILED. ended up getting a woodscrew through the bolt just to hold it up.
fender on!!!!
and she's back together again.
So I took it for a ride, saw a friend at walmart and decided I'd park under his truck.
But yeah, that's where we're at now. Deciding whether I want paint or wheels first.... decisions decisions.

Been a while since I posted, kind of forgot about my thread hahaha. Anyways lets get caught up on where the miata is now.
***Disclaimer, excuse the instagram filter photos, I never really thought about taking pictures for my build thread and these are the only ones I have from the progress.
After my last post we had our annual family reunion/fishing trip. Drove the miata 6 hours one way, then 3 miles up an UNPAVED MOUNTAINthen took the ol Bass Pro up on the lake.
Out cruisin with friends, photo was snapped
Washed the miata's afterwards, 2 4 1
Was driving by CookOut one night looking for some friends to hang out with and saw a guy standing by an NB miata with a hardtop and racing stripes. Stopped and talked to him, asked if he wanted to sell his hardtop and he said yep gimme $200 for it. I said HOLD ON ONE SECOND I'M GOING TO THE BANK DON'T MOVE. Bought a twilight blue mica hardtop with working defrost, perfect headliner and all weather stripping in great condition.
Then EVERYONE showed up.
Then I decided I wanted new wheels. Went hunting for some ssr mk2's or works, then decided I would get cheap wheels and use whats left for paint savings.
Last pic of the gold wheels:
New wheels arrived: 15x9 +15 Dub Felgenwerks Classico's (along with a roof wing)
Test fit (omg dat wheel gap)
Lowered as much as I can with these enormous tires and zero pull on the fenders:
U mad?
This is how it sits now:
and I got this super cool new steering wheel from Jimmy Up, #57 of 60.
And thats it for now! Plan to go to 195/45R15's at some point in the next couple months, along with paint and some interior spicing up. Will try to keep this updated if anyone cares!

The gray and teal will look amazing, super jelly on you $200 hardtop....Originally posted by Miles. View PostRims really complete the aesthetics.
And also, my paint scheme has switched up a little bit and I plan to do Cosmic Gray Mica off of the 2013 camry's and do full polish CCW LM5T's. Whenever summer rolls around and I can work more, I'll be gettin the wheels. Paint should be here by christmas time or maybe a little later.
And the $200 hardtop... Had a guy offer me $900 for it the next day. Had to turn em down for the isntant $700 profit lol.
