Thanks for the comments guys. Been doing fab work with my dad since i was a kid. Im a millwright for a living. Picked up my motor/trans combo today. Motor is a freshly rebuilt ls3 with a slight over bore and forged pistons (not 100% on specs need to find the info again) mild cam, port, polished, decked heads, and comp valvetrain. Makes roughly 530. T56 is a fresh rebuild also. Using a ls7 clutch/flywheel.
Some pics of the 97 yukon. Originally a government truck in nanaimo bc. My dad flew out to see some family and drove the truck back here to ontario. Has a 5/6 drop with spindles/coils and custom flip kit in the rear. It was base model with rubber floors and all so we bought a loaded 4x4 truck and updated it to all 99 leather inside. Other then that its stock. Not a spec of rust on the truck and has the original 350 with almost 280k on it.
Got my ls3/t56 in the car and slapped the new roof on. Gunna start working on it fast now.
Well got the car together and outside so we can move some crap around. Not a lot of noticeable differences but the bumpers all bolted on, fenders, headlights are all done. cowl is done, rear quarters are all cut ect ect. Waiting for parts to roll in so i can button up the coolant/fuel/brake lines.
