  • Spec B Liberty from Aus.

Hey I'm James, been a lurker on here for to long! time to post my new daily, a 3.0L Spec B Subaru Liberty (legacy).

    What Has been done:
    -BC coilovers
    -Guards rolled and slightly pumped
-Rota MXR wheels with 215/40/18 Falken 912's

I want to use a 225 tyre next and the Rotas are temporary until I can afford a decent set of wheels. I still cant decide on what I want. I've always loved older 3 piece wheels like BBS and Gotti but I'm unsure what would suit my car, I'm open to opinions!

    Future outlook:
    -new wheels
    -better coilovers
    -custom grille
    -rear diffuser
    -a sump guard
    -front lip
    -delete rear wiper
    -exhaust
    -tune
-Some sort of forced induction later on

I only had the wheels fitted yesterday, the car sits nice but I'm not totally satisfied with the fitment/height. I'm contemplating running at least a 10mm spacer on the back and I will also be lowering the front and adding some more camber.

Sorry for the phone quality photos, I've lost my camera.

Drop the front or bring the rear up, match that wheel gap.

    Apart from that clean as.

Thanks mate, you make a good point. Definitely going to drop the front as I'm happy with the rear height atm. To much wheel gap for me in the front

I had the camber maxed out on the coilovers and lowered more at the front of the car. Still needs to be a little bit lower but I'm happy for the moment. Next on the to do list is removing mud flaps, new grille, raise the front number plate and spacers for the rear.

Installed an Anycarlink 1080D last Thursday, a device giving me ipod/aux connectivity with the stock headunit.

A few different angles of the front.

Going much lower in the front and maybe the back but I seem to have lost my coilover spanners.

I live in Glenhaven (near Castle hill) what about yourself? Ha I started a thread on asn and had the typical anti-stretch/poke posts, But some of them seem to be cool.
I love the fitment on your wagon it looks perfect! what are the wheel/tyre specs? How did you find BBS wheels in 5x100? or did you re-drill?

                  Few small updates...

Monday night I decided to give the Lib a full service. Still need to change brake pads but ill do that on the weekend and Ill even have a crack at spraying the calipers if I have time.

Late night working on the Lib.

Since I was already working on the car I decided to lower the front more, I'm quite happy with the front height right now. Only problem Is the wheels are lightly scrubbing on the inner guard at full lock, A little bit of positive camber should fix this.

I've decided I'm going to fit a 225 on the rear soon and also add a 10mm spacer while raising the back up to give the car more of a slight raked look. Not sure how it will turn out but experimenting is all part of the fun! I want more poke at the back to.

I found some old brackets in the garage and used them to rise the front number plate. I also shape them to give it a slight tilt up which I think adds a nice touch.

I know these photos are very similar to previous ones posted, just want to show the difference.

Also here is a side shot. I forgot to mention I removed the mud guards but not sure If it looks better without them.

Which stereo is in your car?

I've been looking for an ipod integration solution for my OBXT for a while, and don't see Subaru listed on anycarlink's website.

Also interested to see stereo. I just got a Spec B sedan and its got the mcintosh premium stereo. Don't want to go ripping out and replacing but I am over listening to the radio. Does anycarlink do USB input?
