Well, the intrepid is lowered on a set of H&R's not low enough, but hard to cut coils on $600 springs ( its an LH and there is no other options) and its working great as a summer daily, so I am moving on to 2 new projects.

One doesn't matter here (88 s10 Blazer mud truck) but the other...

Its time to start my ghetto euro-trash e28 started.

Sorry for the blurry ass pic

Now the down side is it hasn't run in years and it can't be driven being that its lacking a driveshaft, but I have tracked down a parts car that I may be able to pick up cheap and use some much needed parts to get this thing moving under its own power.

This weekend with contain the relocation of the car into the shop and possibly test fit a set of wheels or 2. I think one set may be very different and unseen on an e28 before, but time will tell!

Oh, and once its in the shop I plan on a good interior cleaning:

And then see if there is no gas in the hooptie and thats why she won't stay running. Video of it running straight piped will be coming if she runs. Hopefully its simple shit then I can start cutting coils to get some mad lows!!

Glad you are going to get the e28 all fixed up!

I would like to see a budget resto on this

This seems promising since you took such good care of the intrepid.

Have had this car sitting around for the better part of like 8 years. Its rough now, and probably going to end up as a rough ghetto junkyard parts build. Its going to be about cheap parts that I find that I can make work lol

If the 2 inline sixes (current one and parts car) don't pan out, may go redneck and swap in a 302, I have a friend who is a mustang fiend that is on the look out for an engine for me already

And from what I understand is chevy bolt pattern is really close to the BMW bolt pattern **hint hint at rim possibility**

You should go boso/rat with it.

Give it a nice shark nose, oil cooler, zg fender flares, duck tail spoiler, and drop it on some wide 15"s.

That would be kinda pimp. Will come down to how hard it will be to locate parts lol. Rusty is a big influence that's for sure, going to see what I can make work, and probably learn how to weld ( nothing crucial or safety related to start) and fabricate my own stuff as needed.

Maybe rat /mild boso / trailer trash. Crazy rake and mismatched wheels, complete with backyard special bodywork... Not 100% sure where I want to take this yet, it will unfold as I go I guess

So, after some careful consideration, this e28 will not be going back onto the road any time soon. The front rad support is rusted right out and the parts car I was looking at was hit in the front.

Day wasn't a total waste tho...

Just going to keep moving on to a different project till I can come across a decent e28

are you going to do a full resto on that iroc?

I would keep the patina and mod the shit out of the original engine to make it a rat/sleeper.

I think it would look great with some 240zg flares, 15" mesh wheels, oil cooler and louvers(Didn't iroc-z's come stock with louvers?)

She needs some cleaning and upgrades, looking to get her low after a few other things are fixed. The factory hood may return, may find a cowl hood with louvers. Mostly want to clean her up a bit and get her on the road, then get her lower.

May shave the bay, it is an old carbed engine so it should look clean.
