  • CAtuned 2002 BMW w/ F20C Turbo S2K *Completed

Some of you have seen this car at the shows or on other forums.
I should have posted about it here earlier. This is in no way to take away from the other F20C builds. But rather to show what we did with ours.

Car has been completed for a while now. Started as a 2002 that sat for 8 years.
We pulled the M10 out and fabrication was started. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

    Car when we got her:

The Engine and some of the parts:

Pulling old motor and trans out:

Interior is stripped of the seats and carpet:

Small rust hole found; Lucky it's not bigger:

Started to mock up the motor for transplant:

Fast forward to some fab work:

    Front bumper tuck:

    Wiring:

    Fender rolling:

    Rear Bumper tuck:

OK It is a runner. 1st Video is a 1st start up on Standalone. Hardly any sensors hooked up. No 02, no exhaust, no radiator. So it's running but barely. Still it's a runner.

    1st Start up
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MjCG-xO75w"] 1st Start Up[/ame]

    Some custom Brakes:

Also did some custom metal work for the inside to house the power outlet along with the stereo and misc. paper/crap holder:

    Cluster

Initial Setup once we were done:
Yes driving it is a blast. Had it dyno tuned over the weekend.

Here is a small teaser video of a drive by:

    Fast Forward.... ITB's get installed
    Some pictures from SoCal Vintage:

    And Latest Addition or Change:

    Fun Started:

Got the engine pulled out. A lot of the turbo manifold welded up and piping.
Replaced Parts and Refreshed the engine since it's going to see abuse. New bearings, seals, etc.
    And here are some pics...

    And some more pics:

    Engine bay re-worked/Sanded all down:

    Taped up and Sprayed out:

Got a ton of work done and a lot you just don't see in pictures. The engine is back in the bay. Here are some pics:

Had the driveline fully balanced and redone:

This is what we used for the engine bay:

We been busy and the Car is once again done//

    1) Exhaust:

    2) And the Car:

would have never thought it, but a f20 is a good match up for a 2002

This thing is amazing. I wish I could see it in action in person. I bet it looks and sounds so ridiculous to hear a Honda with a turbo and a 2002 go flying by. Mad props for ingenuity.

Dyno is this friday and more tuning. As of right now we are running only 10 pounds of boost and it's over 300HP for sure.

Thank you it is loud like a rocket going down the street with the Vtec going off and the turbo engaged.

Love it, awesome build. Quality drivetrain in a classic car.

Keep the outside as it is, the worn paint pulls the whole look of the car together.
