  • 3000GeeTee. Meh, its just ok...

Hello all, been on here for a couple months and now here is my long time speed project. owned it since 2007 with 38k original miles and all the go fast goodies you can shake a stick at. I know 3Kgt's are not popular within the stance world but I like it and I make um clean.

And when I got her, 100% stock and 21k original miles.

And the new project. Soon to come!

need more low and more stretch and poke!

its nice to see a 3kgt that isn't riced out though, they are pretty cool cars. Except for the reliability.

I've owned 2 and they are totally reliable. And it is going lower but enough poke and stretch. Its still a sports car that needs to go fast.

Very clean, looks great. What are your future plans for the 3k?

Why the fuck would you ditch the AA :l

Looks good so far, wish you kept the stock wing thought hahaha.

vr4's are electrical nightmares to work on, and engine work is almost as bad. Does your 4ws still work?

What year is she, a 93'? Looks exceptionally clean for being a pop up model, and also glad that you have your hands on it, most of them get riced out big time around where I live.

                1. I'm not a fan of 3000GT, but your car looks really good.
                2. Keep it wingless

This is the very first example of one of these done cleanly. I must say, I do like it lots.

Put the wing back on! The 99 trim pieces you added are a nice touch. Add a Kaze front lip and some blingier wheels and it'd be perfect

Thanks guys for all the compliments. I had a Kaze lip but it sat on the ground when installed. So it had to go. I like the wing less look and don't care for all the useless 90's gimmicks. Including deleting the useless all wheel steering.

Very clean 3000gt. I didn't know they were allegedly problematic until this thread. Haha.
The only thing lower than my standards is my truck.

                        Build thread!!!

Legendarily problematic. The 90's japanese sport coupe arms race resulted in some very cool but really unreliable cars (supra, 300zx, 3000gt). When a car is using crazy 4 wheel steering, twin turbo, computer heavy stuff and its all based on untested 90's tech, shits gonna break,

To be a 3kgt owner you need to know 3kgt' s. They all have the same problems. you just have to keep an eye on each problem area an they will be just fine. This car is highly modded and it has never broke on me (knocking vigorously on wood) haha And having only 38,000 original miles helps as well.

They aren't gimmicks. They actually change the aerodynamics of car quite a bit when at speed, and the aws makes it so the whale doesn't understeer so much.

Your car do what you please, but I was just wondering why someone would get rid of the AA and AWS. Usually people say that it was broken or it would cost too much to fix.

First time I ever heard it to be useless hahaha.

                              carry on.
