    Do it dude!

I commute in this 80 miles every day, it's still comfy as hell even at this height!

    Thanks everyone

Wow good job on the interior looks mint! The red might be loud but you gotta admit it makes the interior pop real nice.

    Hello!

After the lowering and new wheels I had a weird feeling that I was 100% happy with my car, and didn't want to do any more mods.

The next day I thought screw that, the interior sucks balls so it was time for a re-vamp.

Also, there was a wet patch on the rear seat, so that needed investigating...

So I stripped the entire interior out. Yay no rust!

And found the back seat had done a wee:

And it kept on weeing in my garage:

I couldn't find any evidence of water flowing behind any of the panels, but what's that up there??

    FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUU

    Here's the damage:

    Rust removed and treated:

    And here's the repair:

It's not pretty, but it's watertight And yes I have removed the drain pipe altogether, because it has 3 others, and also there's no way I could get a smooth entrance to a pipe in that corner, so water would have accumulated in the crevasses. This way its a solid water barrier, and easier for the water to flow away and drain down one of the other holes.

Then I got to work on the roof lining, before:

    Got some of this:

    Glued on some suede:

    All done:

And did the sunroof while it was off:

Then I wanted to cover up those horrible plastic speaker pods in the doors:

Both my front speakers had stopped working ages ago, so I got some crappy halfords ones:

They're a bit "bling," so I sueded them up as well:

I also did all the pillars in suede, though no photos of them off the car

The heater knob snapped off ages ago:

But since I've got a couple of 3D printers at work, I decided to print myself one:

Then it was time to tackle the carpet, which was a horrible faded grey blue green colour

Got some of this (I don't recommend using this particular one if you are going to do this):

    And one of these:

    Then did this:

(Also did the door cards, but no pics of them off the car)

    Nice and black, all in:

The old gaiter and knob were looking a bit sorry for themselves:

But since I am a professional door knob designer (seriously), I took a nice one from the scrap bin at work It's over £100 new, and made from CNCd and polished stainless steel, and best of all, it fits perfectly on the end of the gear stick, and has a grub screw at the bottom to tighten it into place!

Also made up a new gaiter using the old wire framework. Mad sewing skills:

Then I got some garishly red carpets, and put it all back together:

HERE COME THE RED CARPET ******! I realise it's a bit "loud" haha.

    Thanks for reading

Will those Azevs be coming back? With the current height, or a touch lower, they would look splendid=)

I think this mesh style wheels are not really flowing with the car's design.
