  • Black B5 A4

Hey guys, I've finally decided to start a build thread (its a little late) but there are many more changes to come soon. I had a thread in the intro section about a year ago on this site and recently put some pictures in the stance thread.

    2001 Audi A4 Fronttrak
    H&R street series coil overs
    Euro bumper
    Euro trunk
    S4 side skirts
    CCW LM5's
    B7 RS4 alcantara steering wheel
    boost gauge
    S4 headliner
    Autopower Cage
    K&N intake
    Silicone Hoses
    Forge 007 Diverter valve
    APR stage 1
    Front mount
    Power Steering delete
    A/C delete
    Panzer skidplate

    I'm sure I'm forgetting something's

A little background on the car:

I bought the car in pieces from a close friend who didn't have anymore time to finish it in December 2011. He had a pretty strong following on VWvortex, before and during his time with the car. Before he took it off the road he was on a variety of different wheels and he was always known for being very low. He was deleting the power steering, and air conditioning along with the abs module being moved to the rain tray. Also was relocating the battery to the trunk. So in a sense I was finishing what he started. The car also needed all new brakes, diverter valve, misc. gaskets, coolant hoses and other little things. The paint was and still is a little rough in some spots, and theres a few dents (nothing major). The main reason I bought this car was for the interior. It was immaculate, and he had recently put the cage in and that for me was the icing on the cake. So with all that being said we worked out a deal. I now daily the car.

A picture of the car when Mikey owned it:

Wish I had more pictures of it while I was building it, but I never thought I'd make a thread.
This is right around the end of the tiny "build" if you will, February 2012.

For whatever reason I drove it around without a front bumper for a while on steelies haha. I guess I was just so excited to finally drive it.

I eventually got tired of looking at steelies and no front bumper, so I finally put the bumper on (super haggard) and bought some double staggered c5's, April 2012.

    18x9.5 215/40 18

I was content with that setup for a while, but this show season I wanted to have 3 piece wheels. Always being a big fan of CCW I decided to pick up a set of LM5's.
(This is how the car sits now)

    18x8.5 2.5' lip 215/40 18
    18x9.5 3' lip 225/40 18

The only other change so far this show season besides the wheels was a new steering wheel.

And here are the most recent shots of the car, from last Sunday from Shrink All The Cars.

As far as looking forward I'd like to respray the car, and mainly get the front end looking correct. Expect more updates in the near future.
